You know what makes me laugh about this?

Your distaste for jobs.

You pitch jobs as this corporate curse, a chain that ties people down, makes them dependent and broke and unable to achieve wealth.

Now, I don't deny that there are measly jobs out there. I don't say there are enough jobs for everyone. I mean, this is Nigeria — that should tell you enough.

But if this post was advocating for things like affiliate marketing or digital skills, or even entrepreneurship (starting up a structured business, no matter how small), I can back that.

But you attack anyone who challenges your views. That's myopic.

You say that "if you were the one who created this site (a site which could well be a scam), then that means you're an intelligent person". I say that's fraudulent and desperate. An immodest application of this "intelligence".

The smart minds who you claim "rule the world" do so because they built. They built products and innovations, they leveraged other people's time and money, they have mastered sales and networking, or they may just be well-connected. They didn't build schemes that rob Peter to pay Paul.

The real owners of business models like these are not here on NL. They're somewhere, celebrating how some suckers have fallen victim to their gimmicks. Or maybe in jail.

I mean, just look at the promise on the website. "Thousands of euros...with minimal effort"? Laughable. Fast money is always high risk, high reward and in a lot of cases, it's more risk than reward (if any).

Truth be told, there are many jobs out there that transform lives. Unfortunately, not everyone will get these, and some will get stuck in roles they hate, underpaid, overworked, and living paycheck to paycheck.
It's sad, but true.

But this? No, this is not the way.

I haven't yet, and frankly, I don't want to give up, but once it's December 1 (Vancouver time), that's it....it's over.

I later email them again to clarify this what they said "Finalists have been asked to interview. The process is on a rolling basis where everyone will know the final decision in January 2025".

I love that they're actually responsive to enquiries.

Yeah, I put a call through, the woman on the other end is lovely. Very helpful, and though at first, she wasn't trying to be direct but eventually said that decisions should be communicated between Monday and Tuesday, and worst case, by the end of the week. So, let's wait till the end of November.

I get you, yeah, that's what is on the website...but at least someone has to get selected to apply... Besides, it may be a case of "high volume of applications" and they may need to extend the due date slightly (I hope sha)...
But let's see how it goes...

For the MCFSP application, I believe you can use a student/unofficial copy of your transcript. Just make sure your official copy (the one you will actually send through your institution) is ready when you are offered admission to your desired program.

I have a question, sir. I'm applying to UBC's Master of Data Science, and my question is more about MCF than it is about admission to UBC.

Is there an actual interview by MCFSP at UBC, or is it only the pre-recorded video interview for the UBC MDS program I will have to deal with? If there is one by MCFSP, what can I expect from it (medium for the interview, focus points, duration, etc.)?
