The University of PortHarcourt have emerged overall best in a petroleum and gas engineering competition held recently at University of Benin on 17-19 march 2016 organised by the Society of Petroleum Engineers Nigeria Council.
The 14th Students Technical Conference and Exhibition was attended by 28 Universities from Nigeria and Ghana.
The University of Port Harcourt started by defeating Nnamdi Azikiwe University and then thrashed NDU and OAU in semi final and finally triumph over Uniben in Final with 58-25 score margin to emerged the Ist.
It has been 5 years since such feat was achieved by the university.
The petroquiz team comprises:

4.Uko Wisdom
5.Eyakwaire Presley
As the best in petroquiz, they stand the chance of attending the 2016 NAICE conference at EKO HOTELs and SUITEs in Lagos by August.
