Ms_Steph, your role as a good moderator has enjoyed longevity, and attracted much prestige. Wouldn't you rather maintain a good name? You're a good lady. Don't let anyone be man enough to make your hackles to rise, for I know that you possess the rarest emotional intelligence. Disabuse the minds of the defaulters with the wisdom you're known for! After all, what are cockroaches in the presence of a cock.... Meanwhile, it would do us good if you review the policy of this thread to accommodate 'lean' flexibility. Thank you. 3 Likes |

Ms_Steph: thank God u said madam........... if it was wen dis thread was taken seriously i wont post such since we want to post anytin here i decided to help u guys spoil d thread. sabi sum1 said i shld allow 'active' members to advertise Ms_Steph and Omenpetrol, accept my humble, prudent injunction that such banter you've initiated should not culminate in an intractably protracted, pernicious acrimony capable of defying the camaraderie that cements our fraternal consanguinity here. In restrospect, I can still recollect that it was a particular infomercial I posted here in good faith that attracted and instigated all these...first by Ms_Steph...and when tchidi tried to defend me, our madam felt that planet "Abuja Jobs on Nairaland" was prone to invasion by a UFO, hence faced the imminent destruction of its long-defended policy. I share your grief Ms_Steph, but you shouldn't join the bandwagon; you may have no sound justification for wanting to pull down your own house.... |

@Filcast, I agree that an engineer should have good communication included in his work paraphenalia, but this does not call for too much impeccability in English grammar usage as found among linguists. In fact, while on the job, engineers are advised to employ engineering terms rendered in phrases, as such a profession demands a high level of technical know-how and less speech--except during training sessions and the likes. Besides, in some locations, engineers are advised to communicate in their shared native language as certain actions/activities are better expressed and aptly captured by our indigenous language. Even sometimes, people speak better than they write. Are you with me? Your own 'grammer' and 'where' were wrongly written...grammar... were. Whereas there is no such word as 'grammer' in the English Lexicon, 'where' is an adverb of place wrongly placed in the position of 'were' which is a plural past tense verb. I hold a B.A in Communication and Language Arts (2:1) from the University of Ibadan; a Diploma in Online Journalism from same institution. I'm at the moment a part-time lecturer of English grammar, phonetics and phonology in a college of education. It's not favourable to me here as I have been plagued with deadly bouts of persecution. I live in Abuja and I'm now looking for an alternative. Would you be kind to help a fellow? ubachris16@yahoo.co.uk; 08034373942 |

APOLOGY I sincerely apologize to KingsleyEze for failing in my attempt to link him up with a teaching job at Dutse. Also inclusive are all those who had placed an unwavering hope on this now still-born promise. I was unable to fulfil it because of the school's demand; that applicants have to spend at least 1 year (over a petty package). Thus, considering the calibre of persons we are, I couldn't but just ignore it. I, too, is befuddled and now ladened with the need to get going, hence calling on the attention of kind-hearted comrades in the club to help post any job within Dutse axis which one can temporarily engage oneself in before the main business begins. Meanwhile, I have my skills in writing, editing, system repairs, public speaking, private teaching assistance, laundry services, academic project writing assistance and quality material sourcing from series of renowned online journal database, and many more. However, it's not full-blown because of certain fundamentally rudimentary factors. HELP! |

Good morning, my friends in great fortune. We bless God's name for our 7-day period of massive turn-around for the best has begun! You don't undestand? Just have faith and claim your inheritance: I have sinned; God, have mercy on me. Cause not my sins to withold your promises for my life these 7 days. I now make up my mind to limit my conscious sins. Help me in Jesus' name. |

Good morning, house. This is the 23rd day of September. Bow your head, let's pray for God's blessings. By the living power of the Almighty God who lives forever, we've been made to witness the end of the third week of this month. This means He has a purpose for making us stay alive, else, we would have been forgotten projects. Therefore, because He is a promise-fulfilling God, I decree that this seven days remaining in this months shall bring you bountiful blessings. You shall search no more! He shall favour you in the eyes of your detractors! The best job of God's choice for you shall not pass you by these 7 days! Whatever good thing had been yours, but was taken away from you through whichever means, you shall recover them. May God bring about a speedy spiritual paradigm shift in the way most of our leaders treat us. May their heart of stone be replaced with a heart of flesh; a heart of responsibility and responsiness. Now, step into your defined world of plenty and Godly living in Jesus' name. 2 Likes |

Religion / Re: My Experience In Heaven *Sarcasm* by ProfUBA1(m): 2:22pm On Aug 11, 2013 |
Most of the sacred things in heaven, according to the Bible, are 'indescribably beautiful and beyond human comprehension'. By this token, I believe that sometimes God makes use of items one is familiar with (based on one's state of mind and faith governed by grace) to explain certain delicate matters. Note that it's meant for that person's consumption, including other network of people that share in that reality. What I mean in essence is that human beings (God's children) are divided into platoons based on their peculiarities. God sees the difference clearly, and so speaks to each accordingly. That's why some spiritual exercises work for certain people, while another form works for others. Above all, all is done to an end-- to call people to repentance for the Kingdom of God. |
