What was the business of tribalism and religion with the elections of 1993? Two parties produced candidates and citizens were expected to follow their preferred candidate, of the two. Those who preferred Abiola voted for him, while those who preferred Tofa voted for him. What was wrong with people choosing to either go with SDP or NRC? You only made mockery of yourself with your deep lack of knowledge. Was there any law that demanded Abiola to win the entire SE states? And by the way, how many states were then in the SE? Was there any law that required Tofa to be win Lagos or the SW by all means? Or even at this your present age, you still do not realize that Nigerians who flocked from other parts of the country, voted in favour of Abiola, because they all loved him. Of the then 30 states, Abiola was said to win 19 and Tofa won 11, in a very fair contest. Was there any law that required him to win in the whole 30 states before he was made the President? How you fellows managed to bring tribalism into that cleanly contested election requires examination.

Who ever told you that Tofa’s choice of an eastern candidate had any influence on the election results in the east? If not that you are not learned enough, you’d have heard that Abiola was loved and voted for by the Easterners in Lagos and the SW. Tofa’s deputy was completely unknown to all.

Tinubu shouted Yoruba lokan and that clearly demanded that the Yorubas to vote for him, even though it was the turn of the SE to get the seat. You voted for him because of his tribal affiliation with you and expected the Igbos not to vote for Peter Obi. Tinubu got votes from APC Igbo supporters and other Igbos who simply loved him. The same happened with Obi and Atiku, fro those who loved or supported them. Maybe you are completely bereft of common sense. Tell us what made Tinubu more competent than Peter Obi, Sowore, Atiku or any other Presidential candidate at that election.

Maybe this Seyi Law was not there when Obidients and other Obi supporters were physically attacked before and during the elections.

This Seyi Law is entitled to only one vote and should preserve it for his candidate, Tinubu. He cannot in anyway get more than his own vote for Tinubu.
