More uncommon forms of real-estate such as data centres, life science facilities, and self-storage facilities are now more open because of Proptech than they were when compared to other more specialized areas of real estate. Improved data accuracy gives an edge to these sectors over more traditional investments like office and multi-family buildings in terms of speed for transparency improvement. This trend, along with the ability of these sectors to obtain higher value than their counterparts, signifies the arrival of proptech in the real estate industry. With time, the merger of prevailing real estate firms and new proptech startups will be witnessed.
