strictrept:I agree. Especially the investment in oneself. A lot of people usually skip that part |
Let’s discuss - With 2–3m, which is wiser in this economy, is it buying land or starting a business? One person told me “If you’re young, don’t waste money buying land. Start a business.” Another responded “Businesses fail. Land rarely fails.” If you had just 2–3m, which one go pay you pass? And why? Abeg no motivational quotes, real talk only. |
I’m torn, is the main problem the buyer or the agent? Nairaland, help me settle this! |
I no fit keep this one to myself. Guy bought a full plot in Lagos, receipts, agreement, everything clean. He went to clear the land… and met 3 other buyers claiming the same plot. All of them paid. All of them have “documents.” Omo-onile disappeared. Community chairman no dey pick calls. Agent is forming “I only helped connect you” So Nairaland, who is really wrong here? The buyer? The agent? Or the whole system? Most importantly: how do you avoid falling into this kind of mess? I already know the steps that should have been taken, but let me hear from Nairaland first. If enough people want, I can break down the red flags, verification steps, and checks that could have saved him. |
Property Business has its complications, yes, but let’s not lie, it’s still one of the most steady, lucrative paths out there if you play it right. I’ve seen too many people sit on the up sidelines waiting for the perfect moment, and that moment never magically appears. My own advice? Start small, but start now. Time in the market does more for you than endless planning ever will. Your turn guys, if someone asked you for one simple yet valuable property tip, what would you tell them? |
