Tenants in a Lagos apartment have uncovered a shocking rent fraud by their caretaker. For the past three years, each tenant paid ₦1.3 million yearly. But during a surprise visit by the landlord, everything changed. The tenants asked the landlord to consider reducing the rent to ₦1 million. To their surprise, he looked confused. The landlord revealed he only instructed the caretaker to collect ₦500,000 per apartment. Even worse, the landlord said he had been receiving only ₦500,000 from the caretaker, not a naira more. The landlord expressed his shock and assured the tenants that he would take action. He promised that moving forward, no tenant would pay more than ₦500,000. This incident highlights the dangers of unchecked caretaker power in Lagos rental spaces. It also shows the need for landlords to deal directly with tenants and track rent payments. Oya you too judge ooo! Should the tenants request for refunds or lay low like that ? Check propertymediaweek.com for more exciting news

Former Governor of Ekiti State, Ayo Fayose, has thrown cold water on the recently announced coalition of opposition political parties gearing up for the 2027 general elections. In a bold statement, Fayose labeled the coalition as a “waste of time,” citing a lack of unity and clear leadership. Speaking to reporters, Fayose questioned the motive and structure of the coalition, arguing that simply forming alliances without concrete plans would not earn the trust of Nigerians. He added that many of the players in the coalition had previously failed to deliver on promises, making it difficult for voters to take them seriously. “They are just gathering for the sake of opposition without offering any real alternative. Nigerians are watching,” he said. The former governor, known for his frank commentary on national issues, urged politicians to focus on delivering value rather than engaging in power struggles disguised as coalitions. As the 2027 elections draw closer, his comments are expected to stir reactions within the political space, especially among key opposition figures.
