FamilyI Concur: 24 Things A Mum Teaches Her Daughter Before Marriage by prudentcy(op): 10:05am On Oct 16, 2017
• My daughter, don’t cause a separation between your man and his siblings; it could be dangerous for you when they
finally speak with one voice.

• My daughter, I know that some of you girls don’t wish to marry a man whose mother is still alive, don’t ever think
like that, if you do, well, I think your son’s wife-to-be should start wishing you're dead now.

• My daughter, listen to me, when I married your father, he was as tiny as his salary but I chose to grow with him and
today, those cars out there are some of the results of what we started so little, together, and we’re proud looking at
them.

• My daughter, there is this thing i see happening in your time, some of you girls now get pregnant before the wedding day, well, it never happened in our time because no matter what, we never opened our laps before the wedding.

• My daughter, well, yes, I once locked up the cloth of your father because I got to my limit of patience and that was
the only thing I could do, but one thing I haven’t said was that we settled the issue that same day and that was the
last time I tried that.

• My daughter, look up there. That’s the wedding picture of your father and I, look at him smiling, I know you've seen it
many times but what you did not know is that your father was angry before taking this picture, I hope you find a man
whose anger doesn't last till the next day.

• My daughter, when your Father was riding a bicycle, I was always happy to hop on it and ride with him, not because I
didn't see those men in their little cars but because my eyes also saw those men trekking to their farms.

• My daughter, if you and your husband eat a little food with love, you both would be satisfied. Times are not always the same; support him in every phase he’s passing through.

• My daughter, don’t ever close your laps to your husband in bed , the day he paid your dowry was the day you lost your will to do so, don’t be stiff and try to satisfy him even if you were angry with him.

• My daughter, a man would respect you and be more proud of you if you’re learned and not totally dependent
on him. Strive to make your own money and while you're at it, be humble.

• My daughter, under the cocoa tree that I did meet with your Father was open and good enough for our discussions, yes; it was open and good enough if you
understand what I mean.

• My daughter, in our time, we had sexy legs and firm bosoms to show our men , in fact, we had the finest ones, yet, when we dress, we cover those parts of our body, not because we were not civilized as you people would call it, but because we know that the eyes of men are hungry, many of them would only come, touch and go their way.

• My daughter, there is this thing you girls now practice, they say it’s feminism. Well, you can prove to be equal to a
man in the society but please, not in your marriage because at my old age, I don’t want to start counting your husbands.

• My daughter, marriage is not a Rehabilitation Centre, if he’s not good enough for you before marriage, nothing he does would be good enough after marriage.

• My daughter, you can see I still wear my night gown , yes, because to my husband; your father, I still want to look
sexy. So, take good care of your body, look good for your man and don’t look like a grandma after giving birth.

• My daughter, I’m your mother and still, I'm not interested in you coming to me always if anything goes wrong with
your husband. Though nowadays I see some mothers controlling the homes of their sons and daughters, I would only say; shame on them!

• My daughter, for you to have a peaceful home and well- trained children, have one voice with your husband, join
him to say NO when he’s saying NO before the kids but later when you both are alone, you can plead with him for
a YES, if not, the children will see a loophole to misbehave, either to you or
their father.

• My daughter, if you chose to live together with a man that you’re yet to be married to , and you are complaining that
he hasn't proposed to you, oh, he already did. Whatever he said that made you start living with him was his proposal.

• My daughter, your generation does not see any pride in been a virgin before marriage, it’s a shame! Your father
met me a virgin and he brought more yams to my parents and up till today, he’s still proud of me when we discuss in
that direction.

• My daughter, I know that no man out there is complete, but when you are looking for your tall, slim, fair and
handsome, if he’s a woman-beater, please, go for the short, fat, dark and ugly that will give you the respect you
deserve as a woman.

• My daughter, know, learn and respect the culture and lifestyle of whoever you chose to marry . In some part of Africa, you knee down to greet your man’s parents while in some part outside Africa; you can even call them by their first name and ask for a handshake. Whatever they believe in, if you've chosen him,
believe it with him also.

• My daughter, don’t ever try to date a married man, whether his excuse was that he doesn't find happiness with his wife or he would have married you if he had met you first, if you ever try it, I curse you already.

• My daughter, when I say over 52 years of marriage , it wasn't that I did not see any reason to leave your father, I saw a lot of them but I bear his faults, i forgave him to stay married.

• My daughter, these are part of the wisdom i have gathered over the years. and If I had taken my time to tell
you all these, and your marriage doesn't last like that of your father and I, then I had wished i never gave birth to
you.

And who told you Oke is from Ikale? Point of correction Oke is from Ugbo in Ilaje.

FOLYKAZE:
Aketi deputy will garner that from Ese Odo and Ilaje.

Oke is Ikale and his people will support him. Jimoh who hailed from Osooro is Ikale too and got the back of his people. Therefore, the vote is divided right in Oke domain. Odigbo will surely go for Aketi. This is how it was in the last guber race. Irele will be divided among the participants but I see the buck going to Aketi there

MathsChic:
I have a thing that has been bothering me recently, so I want to share with you to seek advice.

I work in a segment of the financial industry where, to put it succintly, you don't make a mistake. Better put, you shouldn't make a mistake. It's not advisable. If you do make one mistake, you are most certainly gonna get fired. Everyone understands this and tries their best to adjust.

Work is complex and full of numerous procedures you have to learn through and through. It is expected that you should understand these procedures and try as much as possible not to make a mistake associated with human error. Now, unfortunately, I made a nasty mistake some weeks ago. But the company didn't release me. Before now, I had contributed quite significantly to boosting company revenues through some direct actions I took, and also in developing some creative financial solutions to help save a lot of money. Some of these financial solutions my company has made into businesses. One time, I managed to wring out a significant deal out of a tough client, and the parent company based in Houston rewarded me for this with an award. My thinking is that, they are not firing me because of these past achievements. I can't be too sure, so I'm still bracing for impact smiley

However, the deal is, a lot of people in the office are really beefing me right now. Some people have made only half a mistake and have been immediately fired. Lately, a lot more have been fired for quite other weird reasons, especially as we started losing work from oil clients. And I'm still standing, so it seems.

I have a strong feeling of an unfriendly atmosphere around my colleagues; and I spot some refusal to associate with me, especially as some of those who have been fired were involved in the same issue for which I got not more than a slap on the wrist. I don't like the feeling I get from others, and I'm really thinking of leaving the company.

But I have no other offers or job at the moment to go to.
If your seat is not envied then you are not a champion.

When your good work is speaking, manifestation is easy.

If you have a special idea, you will rule your world.

Whatever that is happening to you, you have the capacity to put them under control.

What you are experiencing @ the moment is what is called prosperity in the midst of austerity.

So, don't quit except you have a better offer.

PoliticsAPC Leaders To End Saraki’s CCT Trial For A Successful Ministerial Screening by prudentcy(op): 8:25pm On Nov 01, 2015
According to reports from the Tribune, APC leaders are meeting to end senate president, Bukola Saraki’s trial at the Code of conduct Tribunal due to way he handled the ministerial screening and making sure all 36 nominees were confirmed even with strong opposition from the PDP.

The party leaders are impressed with Saraki’s leadership in the senate so far and are meeting to make sure the charges leveled against him at the Code of conduct Tribunal are dropped.

"You can see that even in the days when the PDP had overwhelming majority, it was not always certain of getting all the ministerial nominees through the Senate. Most times, the Senate, even with an overwhelming majority of PDP members used to reject nominees of PDP presidents. But with a slim majority in the current Senate, the Senate President secured clearance for all our nominees. This is a good omen,” a leader of the party said.

The party added that confirmation of all ministerial nominees helped restored the unity of it’s members in the senate.

“It was the unity among APC senators that ensured the confirmation of Chief Rotimi Amaechi. If the division had remained, we won’t be able to achieve that, because all the PDP senators needed was just a few dissenting voices from the APC,” another source said.

“I have it on good authority that leaders of the party are insisting that one good turn deserves another and that they will work on Buhari in the new week to ensure that the party reciprocates the gestures shown by Saraki. The man has given indication that whatever the APC policies are, they can rely on the Senate as an ally,” another source stated.

TravelAll Airports In Nigeria Will Be Shut Sunday Midnight - Aviation Unions by prudentcy(op): 7:53pm On Oct 23, 2015
Airports across the country are to be shut down beginning from Sunday midnight, two leading unions in the sector on Thursday threatened.

The unions vowed to paralyse all activities of the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority by midnight on Sunday.

The unions – the National Union of Air Transport Employees and the National Association of Aircraft Pilots and Engineers – made their position known in a letter dated October 21, 2015.

The National Mirror obtained the letter on Thursday.
The unions accused the NCAA of not adhering to the condition of service with respect to promotion of workers and other welfare issues.

The letter was jointly signed by the Secretary General of NUATE and Secretary General NAAPE, Comrades Olayinka Abioye and Aba Ocheme.

The unions threatened to shut down the NCAA from midnight on Sunday until further notice.

The unions insisted that the withdrawal of service by the workers became paramount in order to safeguard the integrity of NCAA’s condition of service.

The unions noted that the action of the Director-General of the NCAA, Captain Muhtar Usman, was in violation of section 3.4 of condition of service, adding that all efforts to discuss with the management had been futile.

The letter added: “By the copy of this notice, the general public is hereby informed of this development and the implications that all safety regulations activities of the NCAA will be unavailable from that time and date.

“The above notice will remain in force until otherwise directed by the secretariat of our unions.”

PoliticsObahiagbon Lampoons Senators For Accompanying Saraki To CCT by prudentcy(op): 8:22am On Oct 23, 2015
Former member of the House of Representatives, Mr. Patrick Obahiagbon ((aka Igodomigodo) ), has described the show of solidarity by 80 senators who accompanied the Senate President, Bukola Saraki to the Code of Conduct Tribunal, Wednesday, as ‘’Political Hallelujahness of the highest order’’.

Saraki is facing a 13-count criminal charge bordering on false declaration of assets preferred against him by the Code of Conduct Bureau before the Code of Conduct Tribunal.

The Chief of Staff to Governor Adams Oshiomhole of Edo State took to his Twitter handle, @PObahiagbon, to vent his anger, noting that while the executive arm of government led by President Muhammadu Buhari has witnessed a positive change, the legislature under the leadership of Bukola Saraki appears to be a different matter.

The Deputy Senate President, Ike Ekweremadu led 79 other senators to the tribunal in a show of solidarity.
Earlier on Wednesday, the Senate President, failed to persuade the Code of Conduct Tribunal sitting in Abuja to grant an indefinite adjournment on the 13-count criminal charge that is pending against him.

The Justice Danladi Umar-led tribunal, while rejecting the application which Saraki made through his lawyer, Mr. Mahmud Magaji, SAN, ordered him to appear before it ‎on November 5.

Justice Umar said the tribunal was minded to adjourn full-blown hearing on the substantive case till next month, to enable it to ascertain the outcome of the appeal that Saraki lodged before the Abuja Division of the Court of Appeal.

My friendship with the unemployed one is so unfettered and we goof around a lot. It's like two children playing in the sand, and i kinda like that. She's hoping that I'll ask her out formally, but i don't like her unemployed situation.

My friendship with the independent one is kinda rigid and formal. We talk, gist, go to dinner dates, but hardly joke around. We do joke around sometimes though.

And it seems i want what both of them have: i want the freedom i get with the other lady and the independence i get with the other
Is obvious your mind goes for the unemployed girl cos u guys are more compatible than the working class girl but the only problem u have with her is cos she gat no job but she's not going to be jobless forever. I feel the unemployed girl will appreciate u more and u guys will have a happy home than the rigid girl cos if u marry her (rigid girl) u will find out that something is missing which the other girl has and by then the unemployed girl might have gotten job and u will be like oh I should have chosen her or chill small for her. So my advice is dat u should go for the unemployed one and don't be carried away cos she's jobless for now.
