Art, Graphics & VideoI Just Discovered Naira.com by PulsarGFX(op): 10:30am On Jul 13, 2010
I came across an online shopping mall recently. Naira.com. I thought initially that it was run by Seun Osewa (like nairaland and nairalist), but discovered it has some power behind it. It is actually run by Chams PLC, and they tout themselves as the no.1 online shopping mall to reckon with. I bought a few things online, just to try them out, too.

Once Pulsar kicks off our comic offerings, we will be selling them on naira.com.

You guys can try them out and let me know if selling through them would be a good idea. Better still, anyone with first hand info on them can help post comments that can guide me. wink
Art, Graphics & VideoSpecific Needs: Only The Passionate Need Bother: by PulsarGFX(op): 1:59pm On May 25, 2009
Hi Nairalanders. Here's a quick request to all of you who want to do "something" about your artistic skills.

Pulsar GFX Studios have 4 comic, 1 2D cartoon series, and 2 3D film projects on their table, and need to get in touch with the following:

1. Inker; 2. Penciller; 3. Drawer; 4. Layout/Letter Specialist; 5. Colours.

Lagos residence is desirable as production meetings will become inevitable once we go to press. From the foregoing list, it is apparent our immediate need covers only the comics.

Drop a mail at pulsargfx@gmail.com, or give your phone details right here. We have specific needs here, thus your talent must include ability to work out of the box.

Do u guys want a serious response!?!

Both have their present usefulness. 2D will still be the cheapest, best option for your everyday, run-of-the-mill carttons, and children's illustrated books. I foresee more of the 3D companies coming up with easier to manipulate 2D design software soon, that'll have the animation specs of the likes of DAZ, Poser, and Carara.

On the other hand, 3D has become every film-maker's dream. Its usefulness transcends comics into advertising, film tricks, CG motion pictures, etc. This ensures an actor can actually do crazy things without actually going through the motion.

Hi Kemji et al. I'm glad to know i'm way behind on this. I've been sleeping in 2D mode like forever, and only picked up more interest in 3D. I think you guys are cool. I think Ugonna's concept is good. However, I just decided to kick off my studio, and I agree with you that a tight story cannot be compromised.

I find that Poser helps me to design facial and body structures (even for comics that'll be done in 2D), so that the actual drawing is easier. I should post a few of my works here soon.
