luvmijeje: I can see a little bit of me in Geoffery and Daniella. Do you guys heard Geoffrey comment when her mum said 'people that know and don't know you were just asking of you. He said 'where were they all this time.' people may see it as pride but I don't.

In Daniella's case, where it comes to vocal delivery, almost everybody left in the house are better than her, when it comes to perforfance, they are better than her. What about humility, she can't beat Emeka and Christian in that game. Pf is once in a lifetime for her, so I'm expeting her to blend. I'm expecting her to do everything possible to win the voter's heart. At the end of it all, it's still a game.

I disagree o, performance and stage craft, yes, almost everyone in the house is better than her but vocal delivery alone? Nah...she's top 3

Dygeasy: No. I disagree. The main reason why the academy takes them through all the genres of musics is for the contestants to know their forte so they can specialize once the get out of projectfame. No one can do all! You can only try to.

performers have strengths and weaknessis. While its true that some performers will sing any genre of music well, eg Omawumni, it doesn't mean that that's what is required of every performer. Ok imagine our dear Asa singing 'park, baby o pullover'. And Daniella doesn't sound terrible singin naija songs sef, its just that she's at home wit RnB

The question shouldn't be how many made it to project fame, but whether ALL applied for project fame; also lets not forget that project fame is for singers, not instrumentalists.

Why won't he shine amidst people like Clement, Rukky who cannot differenciate a C and C sharp on a Keyboard? #just saying.

brother, you don't realise it but you're just hating on the poor dude, honestly, there's nothing else that can explain your attitude towards him...maybe you should listen to the song he'll sing this weekend, (or next weekend, whenever the contestants will do their personal songs)he wrote it for you, it goes "...people wey no wan make I sing song, make water carry dem go.."

Well, it all depends on our environ. Even in some churches, you won't be admitted in the Choir without proven skills on atleast 2 instruments.

I've lived among instrumentalists/musicologists, so it may not apply to all; but I've seen people who handle 4-6 major instruments. Infact one of them lectures here in SouthWest; while another, a lecturer and a band leader in AUN Yola.

Have you tried trumpet? Also, I'm sure you know drummers 'get level'? I play drum as well, but I always respect myself each time I land in the midst of DRUMMERS

I celebrate Ugo because he made it to this level; but the skill is an everyday thing in Nigeria (no hating).

even if its an everyday thing, how many of them have made it to the project fame platform, do you know the kind of exposure he has gotten so far. Everyday when they go to sing at Beat fm, he plays for them. For the past few days he has been jamming with Cobhams. He plays the guitar while Cobhams composes drums for the contestants. Do you know how huge that is? And you think he'll leave project fame and then return to the position of 'just another everyday instrumentalist?', I think not

acidosisTM: Ugo can learn a thing from 'once' upcoming artistes, and friend called "twins affair."
The duo Taiye & Kenny are music graduates, extremely talented in keyboard, guitar, saxophone, & flute. Somehow the urge to become stars led them into releasing several tracks that never made much impact in the industry.
They love to sing (just like Ugo), but they have better skills outside singing. These guys would have made the best of the best producers in 9ja, but the singing stuff they ventured into didn't pay as expected, despite the huge fund they pumped into music/videos.

so basically you're saying that because Taiye and co.,whoever they are, failed in the industry as singers, then Ugo should learn from them and just give up his dreams of being a singer and settle for being a producer or instrumentals even if maybe that has been his dream forever? Brother, in this life, we can't let someone else's failure derail us..he should at least try and fail 1st before you rule him out

I'm not saying one is better than the other but you can't say you can't tell me that learning to play druns is more important..and Ugo doesn't 'just play' them, his skills in playing them are exceptional too

Ok if no one is goin to say it, I will. Ugo is a musical genius! Y'all know the contestants will be doing their personal songs. If you observed, Ugo had already helped most of the other contestants to build the chords around their songs before Cobhams started coming. And even when Cobhams came, he created the music for them together with Ugo playing the chords on his guitar..and he plays it (The Guitar) sooo well, I heard him play a solo for his song today and I went mad...plus he plays the piano too. He has ea bright future in music, if not as a singer, then as a producer or an instrumentalist in a band

if you watched their rehearsals you'll see that she wasn't even delivering that song vocally. If they don't bring down the key like 3 semitones down, she'll flop...I don't pray for her to flop sha, I don't pray for anyone to flop

1. Uncle Ben is not Ugo's father *its more or less a formal relationship wiv little under tones of informality

2. I would most definitely hate my trainer at the point in time but If I become a better person after a gruelling trainings would realise that it was all to make this moment a possibility.

3. Try as much as possible to live right. For every action there's an opposite but equal reaction. If Ugo did the right thing at theright time, unc ben would have commended him not reprimanded him.

4. The real world is harsher than unc ben's words, if Ugo cannt man up and take it in good fate! How would he manage post-academy? Cos he would hear worse..

chairman, you're basing most of your arguments on the premise that whatsoever hardship one faces now, its building him up for the future, which is correct. But that doesn't still mean that whosoever causes these hardships for you isn't a CRUEL person.... Uncle ben should've just reprimanding him for using sola as his excuse for performing bad, but calling him a backstabbing leach and saying shola 'is better than you in every way', that's just crossing the line, I don't understand how you're not seeing that.

navistar: Nobody should soil unc ben's motives..he is the most objective Facilty member after mami J. Ugo should S.T.F.U he's trying to play the victim when he is the villain in this particular scenario. That Plastic moment he tried to sell on radio was bull!! If you bot it! Then you deserve an award for the "most gullible person eva liveth". He was tryn to make himself feel better and at the same time buy the sympathy vote! What baffled me is his justification of his judas-esque action with "it affected my performance " so we should be good!? *confused* like Uncle Ben told him, he should live with his decisions and not seek public sympathy becos he wants to sleep well at night, voting Shola out doesn't still change the painful fact that he's still the weakest male vocalist in the house!!

About uncle ben saying shola is better than him every way. As a Music director n Mentor, I think it's part of his job description to be brutally honest with these contestants so as to motivate them to better them selves!! The music industry is cut throat! And some artist are better than others!! It does nt necessary mean being an excellent vocalist equals fame and fortune! In Nigeria, singers with poor or questionable vocals like davdo sell more albums than artists with refined vocals like timi dakolo or bez. My point is don't scrutinise uncle Ben unconventional motivational tactics because you don't fully understand his intentions.. the truth hurts, but it must be said to help facilitate positive change.. Ugo might come out of this a better performer who owns up to his mistakes and not delegate blame for his shortcomings.

I see your point, but I don't agree with some of dem. There's no way uncle ben's words were meant to 'facilitate positive change' however you want to look at it. Ok put yourself in Ugo's shoes and tell me the positives you'll draw out of that. Its just like having a wicked mum, in the end, all the hurtful words she's said to you might have prepared you for how cold the world is and you'l be a better person but dat doesn't change the fact that she's a cold hearted b....who was a bad mum

Watching their rehearsals today made me recall why I loved Daniella in the 1st place. Mehhn her voice is beautiful. All these naija songs are really dampening her star. She's an RnB queen.

At this stage of the competition, we need entertainment, people who deliver and have learnt how to use the stage well to wow the audience. People who can multi task. All those that made it to the academy can sing, but singing alone has never been enough and that is why they have been in the academy to learn. Why was ugo's performance terrible? Weren't his vocals okay? Flourish has one of the best voices but that alone was not enough, daniella has a good voice, so does debbie, but what do they do with it? Why are they boring now? Last year's olawale nko?

Pun-intended, you think clement and christian are over rated? How come you didn't say much about ruky? Can you compare her performance with the duo yesterday? Her vocals were not good enough and her performance was not as energetic as the duo.

No need for the 'smear' campaign against clement's misdoings, he already got his deserved punishment and apologised. It has nothing to do with his performance that one na past tense.

As for geoffery's pride, I don't know what you guys are talking about o, his carriage has always been like that since he got into the house, then maybe his eyes too make him appear proud, but that's the way they are I don't think he is. To me, he's one of the coolest people in the house, but then, I might not see what you guys are seeing.

the reason I didn't say anything about Ruky is cos I didn't see anyone overhyping her performance. It was good but not as good as last week.

Everyone has his own opinion I understand that but to me it seems like most folks here form their 'opinions' from crowd reaction. If not, I don't understand why people are saying Christain KILLED IT. No be the same show I watch again? Is it cos they saw the judges stand up for whatever reason. The judges obviously like him or else if it were sum1 else that had those problems with their vocals, Bibi wouldn't have dismissed as 'just a bad hair day'. Maybe you guys like seeing them dance but this is a singing competition and his vocal delivery in the song was boring, all that dancing to me are just gimmicks

its all about voting, the person with the highest vote takes 1st place, the person with second highest votes takes second and so on...the rest will stare at the winner and top 3 lol...but all 8 of dem will perform week in week out till the last day. So fans should start voting agressively

Clement again did ok but I still wasn't impressed. I think they overhyped the performance cos they're amazed that he could do all he did with 1 bad leg. But vocally, he was screaming and goin a lil sharp..go ahead and call me a hater and you won't be wrong cos I hate the fact that he tried to BEAT UP a girl and fell down yet the girl was seen as the jerk. Also Emeka's voice is overrated in my opinion . Anytime I read he's among the top voices this season, I'm always going back to watch his videos and I'm always disappointed.

Tonight, Geoffrey and Rukky did it for me tonight because I hate the song they were given but they blew it.

1. Contestants voices r below par compared to previous sets. Save for Jeff, Florish, Kofo & maybe David.
2. Why haven't they sang Duets?
3. How about songs of evergreen Nigerian musicians like Sunny Ade, Oyenka Owenu, Ebenezer Obey etc that they normally do every year? Where is that?
4. Why last 8 standing and not 6 or @least 7? Debbie should be weeded out at dis stage cos she will be splitting d votes of others
5. Voting system is fk'd up. Y MTN didn't follow d normal way of placing poor contestants on probation is beyond me. This will affect d final result. Cos @ d end of d day, d wrong person may go home with d prize, D weak voices and below-par performers may go home with smthing leaving d real talents and hard workers with nothing.

She was like " I heaaaaaaaaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrrrd that yourrrrrrrr" kept dragging n using too much phonetics. I know her personally n I always tell her to stop d unnecessary phonetics ish.
