Many of their traditional rulers bear full yoruba names and you're saying they're full ijaw. Do you know more than the indigene of the town? Do you know their history more than the rulers?


And for you to say what is the benefits of claiming a tribe over yoruba, it shows you're kid and new to nigerian politics. Nigerian politician use tribe and religion as a political tool all the time and you're asking me what's the benefits? Are you serious? What's the benefits of Gbadebo Patrick Rhodes-Vivour suddenly claiming to be yoruba after claiming to be igbo most of his life and even used derogatory words to describe yoruba people, even he doesn't identify as gbadebo but chinedu but suddenly when he wanted to run as a governor, he remembered he's yoruba? You should listen to those periods when sowore made those statements that he's ijaw, what was going on politically those particular period and you'll understand the game.

That's just him playing politics. If you're not born yesterday, you will understand the game sowore is playing. There's no way he has a full name as a yoruba man, but his ethnicity is Ijaw. Like I said in my previous comments. A Badagry indigene who is actually Awori can claim ogu/egun, which won't raise any suspicions from outsiders. Still, indigenes of Badagry can detect if he's telling the truth from his name, accent, etc. The same applies to Sowore, the true Ijaws know he's not part of them, and he's a yoruba man, everything is just politics
