So some of us that have gotten the mail with our score as recommended and yet to print our admission letter nor have access to the portal..

Anyone with experience on why this is or what the next step to take
Cos i dont want t be too happy cos i saw recommended and then end up not getting admission

is it possible to see recommended and still not be offered admission ?

That's true..i just got my results via mail.

However, i have been unable to access the portal to know if i have been given admission or not nor have i even gotten an admission letter

How do one know thw cut of mark for ther depts now . Result only carried score and nothing else indicating if person fail or passed

If you got at a third party store , could be why the price is high or maybe different state with diff prices ..

Could you please give me an idea of how much power (electricity) bill costs monthly on average for a self-contain apartment? Abeg.

It depends on your building and the people you share it with .. there isn’t any specific amount. You can find yourself in a building where you have to pay 1k per month for electricity or another building where you have to pay 4K per month like mine .

If you’re using a prepaid, you and your neighbors can decide to always recharge say 5k per month and you divide it amongst how many you guys are that is if you’all share the same meter

That’s the downside of having to share prepaid with others. Someone else might be using the light more than the others. Powering freezer, AC, big TV and all meanwhile you that is only using fan and bulb will still contribute same money to recharge
However, one can always make a deal to bring less of the amount if they are reasonable enough to understand you don’t power so much electronics. Or you might be lucky and every house will have separate prepaid so that way, you can decide how much you want to recharge

Then if it’s post-paid,,, this one is war and part of what I battle.
Nepa just brings an outrageous amount every month for the building and you all will contribute the money and pay
Amount could be 20k, 30k and above and you divide it amongst yourselves

You didn't answer the person's question, what happens when there's a failed transaction from the bank.
For example my account balance is 4,000 naira and I initiate a direct debit order of 3,500 naira, but due to technical reasons from Bank or network from the country, it becomes a failed transaction, will the bank be penalized?
From your reply the bank will not be penalized or will be exempted from penalty when it fault.
In those Advanced countries their services and system works 100 percent no fault but in Nigeria were there's no electricity or technical issues, or unstable network you can expect it always.
My take is Nigeria doesn't put things in place to work 100 percent in service delivery but will penalized you for any unintentional mistakes .

You are NOT the one initiating the “direct debit”

Direct debit is different from your regular debit, hence there won’t be any “technical issue or country network”

The bank is the one initiating the transaction for you on your behalf in the stance of a standing order where you must have instructed them to always debit your account on specific dates to be credited to another account. So every month, they do that for you
So you need to make sure your account is sufficiently funded before due date. So it’s not an “unintentional mistake”. if you know you can’t stand by an order you gave to the bank, don’t request for it in the first place .. kuku Dey transfer your money by yourself every said month ..

There is another stance (of direct debit) where a secondary bank debits your account due to loans and stuff but that is not for the average Nigerian.

Your regular failed transactions you’re insinuating in your example of 4000naira and 3500 is not what CBN said they will charge you for.
