As the University of Ilorin concluded its 2025/2026 Post-UTME screening, the Deputy Vice Chancellor (Academic) of the University, Prof. Moji Taibat Bakare-Odunola, has advised all candidates who participated in the exercise to regularly check the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB)’s Central Admission Processing System (CAPS) for updates on their admission status.

Amongst other things, I am happy to see the introduction of ICT skills and entrepreneurship.

It is very easy to spot the effect of a lack of entrepreneurship education from a majority of Nigerians on the internet space. You'd see people asking why a service is not FREE. Such persons will even go ahead to rate products poorly on the Appstore - basically because the service is not FREE.

They do not bother about the cost of developing the product, maintaining and sustaining the service - it beats my imagination each time I see the folly displayed arrogantly and ignorantly, and it speaks to the reason why most of our youths are not employed and underemployed.

A majority lack the curiosity to know how things work, how to solve a problem, but seek employment in an establishment created by someone else, whilst roaming the internet for FREE services.

Anyways, I am over the moon and excited that entrepreneurship will be introduced at the secondary school level.
