I only made the post to raise awareness among other NL members as I saw that he was still posting.
DenreleDave:
I guess there is nothing that can be done again except you have a plan.... He is always online on this thread but not commenting again.

Beside, you kept this matter close for too long.. Since 2025......

Deal with him any way you deem it fit.

Yes of course
odimbannamdi:
Solid points you put forth, bro. Totally agree.

Qhalifah, do you have documented evidences of the payments you made at the station and compensations you made to the real owner the phone was stolen from?

Perhaps, we can prevail on LetLoveHeal2 to compensate you for some or half of it since he also got commissions from the sale of the phone too. He shared in the gains, it is only proper for him to share in the pains too.
Technology Market › Re: House Clearance Sales.. Come In Here!!!! by Qhalifah:
So, i that went there knowing fully well I have no hand in the case doesn't have sense right?

Do you think that if the person who got the phone from me doesn't trust me enough to call and brief me about the situation, he can't just simply lead them to me and make everything worse? Or would it have been fair if I had absconded after receiving his call?

As a matter of fact, police officers said, and I quote, that "if not for the people standing as guarantors for me, the plan was to take me to where I keep my items and categorise everything as stolen items. They also intended to ensure the case was transferred back to Osun State, where it originated."

Omo ehen, just pray it doesn't happen to you

I know you mean well my chief.

I was just lucky, this could have been worse. I know what I went through.

According to this your statement

Nobody in his position whether guilty or not, will willingly walk into the police station for this kind of stuff.

I could have just left my customer also to face it when he called me also
Calibrator:
Let us be pragmatic.
Nobody in his position whether guilty or not, will willingly walk into the police station for this kind of stuff.
The buyer has already closed the case with the police, even if the seller goes to the station, he will be out in less than two hours depending on how fast he can come up with 50k bail or less because as far as the police are concerned, this is now a closed case since the buyer has already done the needful to compensate the victim of the theft.

What is left now should be how to compensate the buyer for the expenses incurred in the closure of the theft case.

Let's be pragmatic once again.

You really think this act would work, talking about “this issue is only being raised now without properly informing me of the full details earlier.” That statement makes no sense.

How I wish you could come out and say this from wherever you’re hiding. I paid more than a million naira for something I knew nothing about just to get myself out of a case — over a phone I bought for 75K.

I called you several times without any response. I created an element of doubt by calling you immediately after I was told the phone in question was stolen. You blocked my line. Since September 16th, 2025, you never deemed it fit to reach out to me. You suddenly ghosted and started changing numbers. You were unavailable to everyone who tried to reach you for a meet-up to buy items. Even people trying to meet you in the same location to buy items couldn’t reach you.

I remember informing you that I saw different SIM cards in the phone. You said they were SIM cards you used in testing your phones and that you had been looking for them — which I returned to you immediately, less than an hour after I got the phone. I also asked you multiple times after returning the SIM cards that I hoped these phones were not stolen items, and you said you imported them yourself. Never did you mention that what you were giving me was a Nigerian-used device.

You’re now saying, “Regarding the phone you mentioned as having police issues, it was not directly sold by me. I only acted as an intermediary. In fact, I did not physically see the phone. I was contacted about the sale and I reached out to you, and upon your interest, I informed the engineer (the seller), who waybilled the phone to you.”

That is not true. You sent pictures of the phone yourself and gave one of your associates to deliver it to me in person at the bus stop. Now you’re saying you were only an intermediary.

If that is your position, then come in person and clear your name properly at the police station.
LetLoveHeal2:
Based on everything you’ve stated, I rarely deal in Nigerian-used items especially phones except when the deal is from a trusted and reliable source. This has been my practice since inception. However, this issue is only being raised now without properly informing me of the full details earlier.

You are also aware that we have successfully completed several transactions together without any problems. Regarding the phone you mentioned as having police issues, it was not directly sold by me I only acted as an intermediary. In fact I did not physically see the phone. I was contacted about the sale and I reached out to you, and upon your interest, I informed the engineer (the seller), who waybilled the phone to you. A dispatcher then picked it up and delivered it to you and I was given commission for selling it.

You mentioned that I blocked you, which is surprising,Let me clearly state that I do not sell STOLEN PHONES or GADGETS Most of the items I post online are imported from trusted vendors outside the country which you’re aware.

As for the Oppo phone in question, I have also tried contacting the engineer/seller who reached out to me about the deal but his number is currently unreachable which I informed you of this as well when you notified me. I’m equally trying to understand what may have happened…

I want to emphasize that I have never been involved in any criminal activity or had any police case, either online or offline.

I have given my own announcement, it's left to you
DenreleDave:
If you don't have any evidence, we will do business with him.. Until there is evidence, we will not let you tarnish his image

This is not the nairaland of 2010 that you think you can tarnish people without providing evidence of scam
Technology Market › Re: House Clearance Sales.. Come In Here!!!! by Qhalifah:
I bought an Oppo A16 phone he posted on NL from him on July 2 2025. It was later discovered after i sold the phone to a customer on September 15 2025 that the phone was a stolen phone after a call came him from a police officer informing the person using the phone.

I contacted Letloveheal2/Letloveheal immediately and informed him of the situation and need for the both of us to be present at the police station to clear our names.(Calling was the big mistake i made). I texted him the next day in the morning but, he didn't respond till about 4PM in the evening. I tried reaching out to him, but discovered he has blocked me on WhatsApp and his number was unreachable.

I went to the police station knowing fully well I have no hands in the matter. On getting to the station i was told by the IPO from Ilesa Osun state that the phone was stolen in a student hostel at OAU with some other items. I and the person I sold the phone to were arrested and put in the cell after writing statements.

Long story short, after a lot of pleading and calls from several people I ended paying 150,000 for bail, 150,000 for tracking expenses the police said they spent, bought an iPhone 11, paid 40,000 for a powerbank, bought another phone for my customer, other expenses around 50,000 etc to settle the case. There are other expenses I won't be mentioning right now.

He has been messaged severally with someone else's number and other NL users account, just to lure him to the police custody so, he can explain his part regarding the whole issue, but he keeps changing numbers and refusing stating that he would only waybill and won't be available for a physical meet up even with someone in his same location

I have attached evidences of our chat when i wanted to purchase the phone, chats from people i have tried to use in messaging him.

Below are some of his numbers and account details
