PoliticsConstruction Of Ilupeju-ijan-igbemo Road: A Commendable Development by qudusa(op): 1:29pm On Jan 16, 2020
The Infrastructural development of a region determines the psycho-socio-economic well-being of such community.

Basic Infrastructures such as good road, usable water, health facility, among others form basic necessities in the well-being of every community. The risks and cost of traveling to neighbouring communities to access health care are so many, part of which includes worsening of the patient’s condition and probably death due to bad road or distance before getting to the health centre. Transporting farm products to the market have made some farmers to lose the motivation to farm again especially perishable goods, some transport workers have relocated to cities due to the hazards caused by the bad road network to their vehicles. Business tycoons don’t patronize the popular

Igbemo rice again due to unavailability of means of transportation among other reasons.
Transportation is very important in the development of every community, the access to good road network makes business transactions easier and investing in such communities are motivated. In fighting against poverty, illiteracy, poor health and social conditions, a good road network is crucial.

In his first regime, the Executive Governor of Ekiti State, Dr. John Kayode Fayemi awarded the Ilupeju-Ire-Igbemo-Ijan road, construction had started when he left office but abandoned since then. It is thus commendable that he has re-awarded it to a new contractor and to be completed within 18months. It is no gainsaying that Fayemi is leaving no stone unturned in ensuring that Ekiti become better than he met it. May God strengthen you sir.

We call on all well to do sons and daughters of Ekiti both home and abroad to contribute some quota in their best capacity in the development of our dear local government and Ekiti State at large because government cannot do it all alone. Industrialization will fasten the Urbanization of all towns in Irepodun/Ifelodun, the resuscitation of ROMACO as well as transforming Igbemo Rice to a large scale investment will boost the economy of the State, the Local Government and as well better the life of the people.

Veoneer’s autonomous test car, LIV, short for Learning Intelligent Vehicle, can be driven from anywhere in the car using a smartphone.

It is possible to accelerate and steer the car with the phone, it’s more difficult than it sound. The green dot on the left in the photo above accelerates and decelerates the car while the right circle steers the vehicle.

Car TalkRe: Toyota Vs Lexus by qudusa(op): 11:19am On Jan 09, 2019
Mechanically speaking, the Toyota Land Cruiser and Lexus GX are exactly the same, just like certain other Lexus and Toyota vehicles.

There are some engines that don’t cross over from one brand to the other – mainly in sporty Lexus vehicles. Most of these engines are too performance-oriented to really fit with the Toyota brand image, which is often favored by people who want a tamer experience in their vehicle. They also would inflate the price of different Toyotas too much, pushing well beyond the budget-friendly nature of the brand.

Toyota Motor Company is legendary for its impressive manufacturing quality controls. Other corporations, business schools, and many others study and try to copy how the automaker runs things in its factories. All of this means that as a consumer, you don’t have to worry nearly as much about shoddy workmanship when it comes to Toyota and Lexus engines.

One obvious difference between the two brands is how people will view and treat you. Pulling up somewhere in a Toyota isn’t really all that impressive, while being behind the wheel of a Lexus can be. Lexus vs Toyota quality might be behind some of that perception.

Toyota and Lexus owners are quite loyal to their respective brands. As the former is the parent company of the latter. It’s natural to wonder what is the difference between Lexus and Toyota. Instead of breaking the mold, so to speak, with different parts, the automaker shares quite a few of them between different models. This means there’s some crossover between Toyota and Lexus vehicles.
Car TalkNew Ford Ecosport Fiesta-like by qudusa(op): 6:53pm On Jan 08, 2019
Even though the Fiesta leaves us this year, its platform does not. The model’s 2011-vintage B2E architecture continues in service beneath the EcoSport, and will soldier on even after the redesigned EcoSport appears — likely in 2020 as a 2021 model. For the seventh-gen Fiesta, bowing in 2017, Ford upgraded the platform with a stiffer front subframe and new rear torsion beam.

Autocar suggests Ford might do something about a product name that hasn’t resonated all that well in the UK market, but there’s no confirmation of this. Remember, it’s “echo sport,” not “eco sport.” As for powertrains, those could be a carryover.

In spite of jokes emanating from various corners of the internet, the EcoSport’s first year on the U.S. market was not a bust. Ford sold some 54,348 EcoSports in 2018 — nearly 3,000 more than its Fiesta platform mate (which happened to be the only Ford car to see a volume increase last year). Put another way, the EcoSport outsold the Toyota C-HR by roughly 4,000 units and moved triple the number of vehicles as Mazda’s CX-3.

Price start From £15,120

SportsThings That F1 Fans Should Be Excited About This Year by qudusa(op): 12:21pm On Jan 02, 2019
;D1. Red-hot Leclerc going up against Vettel at Ferrari
You probably don’t need us to tell you that Charles Leclerc’s rookie season with Sauber was pretty tasty. But next year, the soft-spoken Monegasque will truly hit the big time when he lines up as a full-fat, decked-out-in-red Ferrari driver. It’s one of the biggest jobs in the business, and comes with the added pressure of driving alongside one of the biggest names in the business too, namely four-time champ Sebastian Vettel. Which Ferrari driver comes out on top of that battle by the season end in Abu Dhabi could shape the make-up of the legendary team, and of Formula 1 itself, for years to come…

2. The great Red Bull-Honda gamble
If you’d proposed the idea of Red Bull using a Honda engine in 2015 – a year where the Honda-powered McLaren team scored just 27 points, compared to Mercedes’ 703 – you’d have been laughed out of the F1 paddock. But following seasons’ worth of unreliability and horsepower deficit using Renault power, Red Bull have decided to take the plunge with the Japanese company in 2019. An audition year for Honda in the back of the Toro Rosso saw the Italian minnows turn heads with some stirring performances, chiefly Pierre Gasly’s fourth place in Bahrain. How high can the Red Bull/Honda partnership fly in 2019, when the engine is allied to an evolution of what looked to be the finest chassis on the grid in 2018? Exciting prospect, isn’t it?

3. The titanic midfield fight intensifying
What an absolute bunfight the battle to qualify or finish a race in seventh place was in 2018. Haas, Renault, Force India, McLaren, Toro Rosso, even Sauber – a team who’d brought up the rear in three of the previous four seasons – were all having a go, and the fight shows no signs of abating for next year. Fourth and fifth-placed Renault and Haas both enjoyed their best seasons since joining the grid in 2016, but both also made costly mistakes that they’ll need to avoid in 2019. Could those two teams be trumped by Racing Point, though, who can now count on Lawrence Stroll’s sizeable financial support? And, most importantly, can any of the midfield break the top three teams’ monopoly on race wins, which they’ve enjoyed since 2013?

4. The return of a lost champion
A story to gladden the hearts of motorsport fans the world over, race day at the 2019 Australian Grand Prix will see Robert Kubica line up for Williams exactly 3,045 days after his last Grand Prix with Renault in 2010. You’ll know by now the reasons he’s been away from the sport for that long – reasons which had nothing to do with the Pole’s lack of talent, with Kubica recently cited by his old karting rival Lewis Hamilton as “one of the most talented drivers that I had the pleasure of racing against.” Let’s hope Kubica’s presence at Williams alongside reigning Formula 2 champ George Russell can help inspire the team to pull themselves off the bottom of the constructors’ fight in 2019.

5. Familiar faces wearing new colours
Mercedes and Haas: they’re the only two squads that will field the same driver pairing in 2019 as they did in 2018, meaning that next year will see a multitude of drivers in new colours – and we all enjoy that, right? Will Daniel Ricciardo suit the yellow of Renault? Carlos Sainz the orange of McLaren? Kimi Raikkonen the white of Sauber? Pierre Gasly the dark blue of Red Bull? Will Daniil Kvyat sink-or-swim in his third stint (yes, third!) with Toro Rosso? Can Lance Stroll make his father/boss proud at Racing Point? How heavily will Ferrari’s famous cavallino rampante weigh on the chest of young Charles Leclerc? Prepare yourself for an F1 grid in Australia that looks very different to how it did 12 months previously.

6. A dazzling new generation of talent breaking through
It’s not just drivers swapping teams that’s getting us excited, though – next year, a fifth of the F1 grid will be rookies (or near-rookies), bringing vital new blood into the sport. Three of those rookies – Williams’ George Russell, McLaren’s Lando Norris and Toro Rosso’s Alexander Albon – spent 2018 competing in Formula 2 (and finishing 1-2-3 in that order, with Russell as the season’s champion) while 2016 GP2 runner-up Antonio Giovinazzi begins his first full F1 campaign with Sauber, having started races for the team in Australia and China in 2017.

7. The milestone 1,000th world championship race
The 2019 Chinese Grand Prix will mark an incredible milestone in the history of Formula 1 – the series’ 1,000th world championship race. And while the first event – the 1950 British Grand Prix – was won by Giuseppe Farina in his cigar tube-like Alfa Romeo 158 putting out just 200bhp, the 1,000th will be won by a hybridised, be-haloed, tarmac-bound ‘fighter jet’ (to use Lewis Hamilton’s description) packing near 1,000bhp. How far we’ve come.

8. Racing’s biggest name debuting in Formula 2
Will we one day see a Schumacher back in F1? It’s certainly looking more likely now that it’s been announced that Mick Schumacher, 19-year-old son of seven-time F1 champion Michael, will line up on the Formula 2 grid with Prema for 2019. That caps off a 2018 season that saw Schumi Jnr romp to the European Formula 3 title, winning eight times – including five victories in a row – to best his Red Bull-backed rival Dan Ticktum. We advise you to keep a close eye on the young German’s progress this year…

9. New rules to aid closer racing
2019 will also see the first gestation of new rules that will ultimately come to fruition with the cars set to line up on the grid in 2021. Chief among the changes are the new front wings. Wider and less sculpturally intricate, drivers can expect to see around a 20% improvement on their ability to follow a car in front, which should help them with overtaking. Keep your eyes peeled, too, for taller, simpler rear wings with bigger DRS gaps, smaller front brake ducts and lower, less aerodynamically powerful barge boards.

10. Ferrari going toe-to-toe with Mercedes once more
Boy, were we close to seeing the unseating of Mercedes by Ferrari in 2018. Emphatic victories for Sebastian Vettel at places like Silverstone and Canada had the Silver Arrows looking as on the ropes as they have done since F1 switched over to hybrid engines in 2014. But from the Italian Grand Prix onwards, Mercedes well and truly achieved Sun Tzu’s definition of excellence in warfare: ‘breaking the enemy’s resistance without fighting’. Ferrari won just one of the final eight races of the season – and with Kimi Raikkonen, not Vettel, to boot – to finish comfortably behind Mercedes at the close of play.

Car TalkSimple 4 Ways To Fix Car Dents From Home. by qudusa(op):
It is impossible to avoid car dents and scratches. Even though you take precautions and extra care of your car, you cannot control what happens on the road with traffic or in parking lots at the mall or supermarket. You are not required to take your car to an auto body shop every time your car gets dented. Sometimes, the dent and scratches are minor. So why spend cash on it.

The following is the list of some ways you can easily fix dents on your car.

1. Use of hair dryer
For this method, you will need an aluminum foil and a hairdryer. You can place the aluminum foil over the dent after heating it with a hairdryer. With the help of heavy-duty gloves, apply dry ice across the foil until a pop sound is heard. This process takes very few minutes. Remove the aluminum foil and dispose of in the trash once the process is completed.

You can also choose to use a hair dryer and compressed air. Turn on the hair dryer to its highest temperature and allow it to heat the dent till the surface expands. Turn the can of compressed air upside down as soon as the car surface expands and start spraying till the dent pops out, this happens as a result of contraction. With a clean and soft cloth, gently wipe off the liquid residue of compressed air.

2. Use of plungers
Many people use plungers to fix car dents at home. There are other works a plunger can do which do not involve unclogging drains but fixing medium-sized car dents. You will need to put some water on the dent and plunger cup. Then you will have to start performing the suction work a plunger does on the dent by pushing and pulling till the dent disappears. The cup plunger is recommended here, not the flange one. You should bear in mind that the trick might not work if the dent is bigger than the plunger cup or even more complex. Your car should go back to normal in few minutes though firm plunging if the dent is medium sized

3. Use of vacuum cleaner and pot
A vacuum cleaner can also be used to fix a car dent. Suction power is also used here as in the plunger method. You will need a pot or bucket, vacuum cleaner, and masking tape. You should make a small hole under the pot or bucket, tape it around the dent and position the hose of the vacuum cleaner over the dent. Switch on the vacuum cleaner and remember to switch it off once a pop sound is heard and the dent fixed.

4. Use of hot boiling water
Who knew that hot boiling water could be used to fix car dents?

The bumper, being the part which bears the most damage in most minor car accidents is likely to get dented. You might have to remove the bumper for this method. Proceed to pour hot water on the bumper dent. Try popping the dent from behind once you are done pouring the hot water. As a result of heat, the dent area will probably expand thus, making it easier to bring it back to its original shape. Keep pouring the hot water on the dent till you are done. Pour some cold water over the area to allow it to shrink back into place once the popping is done.

NOTE: If a dent is too large, deep or has resulted in damaged metal, there is, unfortunately, no other way than bringing your car in for a repair.
