RomanceRe: Is It Wrong To Want To Marry A Rich Man? by queen2006(f): 11:58pm On Apr 13, 2006
I don't think there is anything wrong in marrying a rich man as long as you are on your own two feet and care take care of yourself without the man.  The richer the better.  Sometimes marrying for love alone doesn't cut it.
TV/MoviesAfrican Oscar Award Show? by queen2006(op): 11:56pm On Apr 13, 2006
I've always wondered why we don't have an award show to promote our African actors. A red carpet event in one of our African Countries. Wouldn't that be nice or is this a far fetched idea?

Africans, We need to stop being at the bottom shelves Our continent has been labeled the ‘dark’ continent for decades with news weighed down by images of starvation, disease, poverty, primitives and corruption; albeit a true picture, still an incomplete one. It is important that we redefine ourselves and paint a complete picture. A picture whose glamour overshadows its darkness.

African Vibes Magazine is not just a Magazine, it is your Magazine. We believe that only by sharing information, can we contribute in the future growth of Africa and Africans. Learn about successful Africans, African celebrities, Africa's diverse cultures, contemporary African fashions, African food and more … Do you know enough about Africa and your fellow Africans? Do you know about the money dance from Nigeria? How about the Egg breaking ceremony from Sudan or the child naming ceremony from Ghana?

Get AfricanVibes Magazine delivered to you by subscribing online today. This issue is hot. For one amazine price, you get six issues right at your front door.

FashionRe: Would You Use Contact Lenses? by queen2006(f): 11:47pm On Apr 13, 2006
Contact lenses are sexy if you wear the right colors. I have major eye problems and I use to wear clear contacts. After a while I got bored and decided to try the colored lenses, the attention you get with those is over whelming.

Thanks for asking.

African Vibes magazine is a general-interest magazine for contemporary Africans in the Diaspora, which defines, reflects and celebrates what it means to be an African in contemporary American culture. There are many Africans doing extraordinary things and African Vibes magazine makes it its business to tell the world about it. From fashion tips, to inspiration or simply good old entertainment, African Vibes tells it all. THe quality of AV matches that of Essence and Ebony Magazines because we deserve that kind of quality but it's an African magazine. We feature African Celebrities, African Designers, African cuisine, African resorts, Successful Africans and their stories, A cultural fact from one country each issue and lots more. All of our models are African and we also feature runway fashions in our magazine.

Our April/May 2006 issue features an exclusive interview with South African actor Presley Chwenayagae who starred in the Oscar winning movie Tsotsi.  AfricanVibes magazine is a one stop shop for Africans in the diaspora to get the latest on entertainment and more.  AfricanVibes lets the world learn and know about our beautiful cultures and continent and I encourage you all to subscribe online.  The magazine will soon be available in Nigeria, South Africa, Cameroon and Ivory Coast.
