Twitter user Ibrahim claimed that food items donated to IDP in Borno State are being repackaged and sold by SEMA. Again, it could be that they are selling them to generate money. NEMA in response, asked for further information in order to launch an investigation.

According to a maan named Sunday Kehinde, Officials of the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority towed a Lag Bus filled with 48 passengers from Berger to Oshodi. He alleges that it was because the driver allowed a passenger to drop at Berger.

Nigerian woman was killed after the Perodua Myvi car she was in with her sister was involved in an accident at Km269 of the North-South Expressway (southbound) this afternoon, Thursday, June 9th. In the accident which occured at 3.15pm,the 23-year-old victim, identified as Odongo Regina Ndamai, died at the scene due to serious injuries. Nilai Fire and Rescue Department Operations chief Bahrin Ayub Ghazali said initial investigations revealed that the incident occurred when the car, driven by the victim’s elder sister, Regina Ignthia Akiyi, 28, encountered a tyre problem.

“The car was initially on the middle lane. As it was heading towards the emergency lane, the car was rammed from behind by a Proton Exora driven by a man,” he said.

Bahrin said due to the impact, the Proton Extra car burst into flames but passersby managed to rescue the driver.

A body of an aborted baby was found in the floods at Mallam Junction, Accra, Ghana. Parts of the city was submerged following heavy downpour in the early hours of today. According to media reports, areas including Kwame Nkrumah Circle, Dzorwulu, Mallam Junction and Kaneshie were inundated with water destroying household properties. Media houses have advised the public to stay indoors and avoid going to flood prone areas.

University of Agriculture Makurdi, Benue State has been shut down following the brutal killiing of three students and a security man by unknown gunmen. The three students and security man were shot dead by unknown gunmen last night at Shammah hostel.
Security agencies have taken over the case and have apprehended some people with bullets and arms in their possession. The school management has also ordered all students to vacate the premises till order is restored..

In statement released by his Special Adviser, Media and Publicity, Yusuph Olaniyonu, Senate President Abubakar Bukola Saraki has reacted to the loss of Nigeria’s most iconic sports personalities, former Super Eagles captain and coach, Stephen Keshi, who died after a Cardiac arrest in the early hours of today Wednesday June 8th. The statement reads, [b]
The sad occurrence was both painful and unfortunate coming at a time the nation is in dire need of wisdom and rich experience of sports professionals like the late international star to stabilize its soccer architecture.
Keshi was an excellent star. His soccer artistry and leadership skills remain unparalleled. His days, while donning the national colours and his stint as a National Coach of the Super Eagles could rightly be regarded as “Nigeria’s golden moments” in both national, continental and world soccer.
Keshi lost his wife late last year and today we heard the sad news of his demise. This must be a heavy burden for the family to bear. His death at 54 is both a rude shock and highly unfortunate. Nonetheless, we must take solace in the fact that he did his utmost for the development of sports in Nigeria, Africa and the world, during his sojourn on earth.
As a player and coach, he was instrumental to superlative victories for the national team. It could be recalled that the “Big Boss” as he was fondly called, made history by winning the African Nation’s Cup as a player in Tunisia 1994 and in South Africa 2013, he won again as a coach. He was perhaps the only Nigerian to have achieved that feat.
He was a great source of inspiration to his contemporaries, team mates and the younger generation who took to football and are still active in sports across the world today. He shall be sorely missed.
The Senate President commiserates with the children and immediate family of the deceased, the Government and people of Delta State, the Minister of Youths and Sports, the nation’s football governing body and the Super Eagles over the painful loss.
While praying God to grant the Soul of the departed eternal rest, he urged his children, loved ones and admirers to emulate the enviable lifestyle of industry and patriotism of the late soccer hero.[/b]
He also called on both the Federal and Delta State Governments to immortalize him.

Popular music video director, Moe Musa has revealed that he had to leave the house he stays with his brother JJC over his relationship with Funke Akindele.
Musa, who has shot several popular music videos, used to live in the same premises with JJC that is reportedly dating leading actress, Funke Akindele .
Musa reportedly lived in the Boys Quarters’ of the house. However, We gathered that since the romance between Funke and JJC started, JJC,who is well entrenched in the entertainment industry, has not been very comfortable with Musa’s presence because he feels it might breach the privacy of the lovers.
