Hello, please can i dm you? I'm looking at applying to Hull for next year September and i would like to ask you some questions if you don't mind.
Sure, you can message/email me. I may take some time to reply but I will surely answer.

I've already booked my flight for today straight to Heathrow (for an obscene amount, but I have my reasons for needing to get there quickly). Does anyone have advice/tips on the best way to find my way over to Hull? tongue grin

VISA Alert

Unconditional Offer: 6th June
CAS Issued: 7th July
Date of VISA Application (later changed to Priority): 5th August
Date of Biometrics: 9th September
Decision Made (According to the BRP Letter): 14th Sept.
Transferred to/Received by VAC+Collection Mail: 20th Sept.
Passport delivered by courier: 22nd Sept.
No paid call/mail, no NSF.

I'm thankful to all on this thread for all of the useful information I found here. The process has drained most of my enthusiasm and excitement, but I'm still grateful. I made a few mistakes, like poor time management (or rather, ignorance on how long it can take to find bookings for both the TB test and Biometrics), designating a particular bank for my source of funding in my application, but eventually using a different bank/name, changing PoF account thus creating a need for another 28day timer (still surprised this didn't cause as much of an issue as I'd feared), etc. Also, the courier would likely not have delivered my package on the 22nd at all if I hadn't gone to a DHL office and contacted him directly to get my passport over to me ASAP. DO NOT OPT FOR THIS SERVICE IF YOU ARE ON TIME CONSTRAINTS. I saw the advice against this too late, but hopefully more people will see this. You may be lucky enough to get it on time, but if you can go get it yourself, I'd advise you do so instead.

So that's my report sha. As drained as I feel, it would be wrong to not come back to contribute my own experience. To everyone still waiting, relax, you will get yours in due time and it will have your vignette prominently displayed upon it. smiley smiley

Has anyone for 9th Sept (Priority) gotten theirs yet? I'm wondering if the Queen's funeral might have any effect on delays.

Good afternoon all. How much of an issue is this please?

I submitted my VISA application on the 5th of August, but was informed by a friend the next day that what I had prepared as my PoF would not work (it was neither in my name nor a parent's name). I corrected this by moving the funds to my own account. The 28 days (counting from the day after the transfer was made) will elapse on the 7th of September, and my Biometrics is slated for the 9th.

I'm just noticing that it would technically be more than 31 days after I 'applied', even though I haven't self-uploaded docs online yet or gone for Biometrics. Is this an issue?
Because I honestly can't reapply again due to time and money constraints.

Edit: I just saw elsewhere that specified it must not be more than 31 days old before application. I'm assuming that means it must be fresh (which might explain why some people get NSF mailed for a new PoF statement), but I'm frankly still not sure if that makes my case better or worse, lol.
