I have been an Osi fan since his early Napoli days. I give him praise where due but also call out where he can improve. Offside awareness is one of them and more consistent finishing. Check my post history.

Yes, but his finishing at times can be erratic.

5 big chances missed today. 9 shots, 7 on target, 2 goals. He really should have bagged at least 4 goals let’s be honest.

Many hurriedly forget that Victor Moses represented England in the 2007 FIFA U17 World cup before switching allegiance to Nigeria. They make it look like there is a "cast in marble" rule for switching allegiances.
Ademola Lookman likewise featured for the English U20 team in the 2017 U20 World Cup before switching to Nigeria.

If NFF and Chelle consider him relevant to their plans they will go for him.

I think it should be clear to all by now that Cocony and CapitalCee are just the same. I silently raised eyebrows when I saw them walk into the thread at the same time using Super Eagles Calculations to gain attention. Unlike CAR321, who came in did his thing and pushes no agenda, these 2 clearly have agenda up their sleeves.
Anyway, I dont entertain their agenda for longer than necessary. They stay blocked and dead on arrival.
Same here. I just couldn't take it anymore, that's why I responded this morning.

My point still stands Enyeama might be fumbling crosees a few times but he was solid most times even during his early days in SE.

The mainpoint we are debating here is that Enyeama was in team where winning was the focus. Unlike Nwabali QED.
Not few times, it was his major weak point in his early days. It seems you did not watch him in his early days

As at 2002, Enyimba already won back to back leagues in a more competitive Nigerian league. At that time he was not even the first choice. Ike Shorommu was. He only became first choice when his team were dominating Africa
They were still not an elite team as at 2002.

Thats the same point i was making. So he has the right ingredients to make the SE squad albeit not the first choice. Nwabali lacks that as his team is not competing anywhere near the top
The same goal keeper was there for us when your Maduka dey fumble. He was the best thing after bread and beans then🤣. You guys did not remember that he was at Chippa Utd at the last AFCON. We all know what we are doing😅😅

A team that won back to back league title in Nigerian league in the early 2000s are not elite? 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣. Nigerian teams are some of the best in Africa at that time. For Enyimba to win the Nigeriam league that time back to back they are elite. And in any case Enyeama was not the first choice GK in 2002 na. He only became first choice in around 2004 when Enyimba was dominating African football. His fellow Team mates at that time where even Super Eagles players already. So Enyeama wasnt just lifted from No where.
Comprehension is your problem. Go back and read what I posted. I said as at 2002, shey u get am now?🤣🤣🤣🤣

Very false information/Conjecture.About 80% of a 22man AFCON 2002 squad not going to the world cup equals mathematically 17.6 players and where .6 can no be assigned as a whole your statement qualifies as about 17 of the 22players. This again gives hint that you did not really watch them then or you have forgotten or you just want to argue. More than 8 of the 22 that went to AFCON 2022 were at the World Cup in 2022.
List the eight😂

I omitted West and Okoronkwo.

Fredricks is not a GK, he has a Defensive leaders in Bassey and Ola Aina who who plays in EPL to guide him. And he is only on loan in that team, he only made his debut recently so will definitely move back to his parent EPL club. Nwabali on the other hand got exposure nearly 2 years now, yet hr couldnt get a move to the top 4 teams in SA or even top African teams or Europe.
I still maintain, where a player or goal keeper is playing does not affect his abilities.

The AFCON IN 2002 was the commencement of World Cup preparation before most players were suspended. Chijioke Ejiogu of Arugo and later Iwuanyanwu Nationale was not part of the build up after AFCON 2002.

Excellent. Enyimba was an Elite team by the time Enyeama csme to SE. By that time Nigerian league was among the best in Africa. Teams like Julius Berger and 3SC and Kano Pillars were competing very well in CAF competition. If Nwabali was keeping for Al Ahly , Memolodi Sundowns, Orlando Pirates or Experance or any of the Casablanca teams, no one will be worried. A bottom placed team keeper in SA should not be our first choice in SE. Heck even that Rwandan GK is in Keizer Chiefs. Washinton Arubi of Zimbabwe id the GK of a team far higher than Chippa utd.
They were not an elite team as at 2002. Stop this misinformation. Their rise actually started in 2002, but they were not already an elite team🙄

The only players that were part of both tournaments were:

1. Okocha
2. Kanu
3. Ike
4. Aghahowa
5. Babayaro
6. Udeze

So, how was it the commencement of the preparation for the world cup?

Even all the coaches were sacked

You are diviating. The point you are making is that Enyeama never had winning mentality and elite attitude when he debuted in 2002 world cup.
It has been proven to you thst he has it.
His team had won the Nigerian league which at that time was really good, and was competing in CAF Champions lesgue.

And it has slso been proven to you thst he was not the first choice at that time. He only became first choice when he wn 2 CAF champions league titles and multiple league titles in Nigeria. The mistakes of Shorommu in 2000 is ot the discussion here
You are the one deviating, because he won the Nigerian league before the world cup, he was good enough to face that England squad?🤣🤣

On the contrary that was not true in view of what I watched not what you read from Google. The argument is the comparison in terms of club status and attitude of ENYEAMA then vs that of NWABALI now.

CapitalCee, it seems you are getting the explanation wrong. I corrected the error of the person with my explanation which you quoted and I rightly know Enyeama won 2002 league with Enyimba. Read through the posts that led to my answer.
As per the National Team Enyeama was regarded as a newbie at the time when we had Ndubuisi Egbo, Murphy Akanji and Ike Shorunmu.
Ndubuisi Egbo and Murphy Akanji were not part of the world cup preparation. It was Ike Shorunmu, Rotimi Sunday, Austin Ejide, Vincent Enyeama, Chijioke Ejiogu(the flying monkey) e.t.c

The Ike Shorunmu you are talking about, go and check the kind of goals he conceded at 2000 AFCON final.

If you are good, you are good.
