Do you need friends? Yes. We can't do everything alone. We're humans, sometimes it gets too hard to deal with, and a word of encouragement from a genuine friend is all we need. Or just a hug from someone that cares. Denying the fact that you need them will only make you yearn for it more. Why not just go for it?

I am essentially a coward. I fear what I want, and so I self-sabotage. I ruin things for myself.

I distance myself from people. Usually I thought I was an introvert, but no. I’m well outspoken, learned and on the extra, I’m a good looking guy.

I am jealous of those people that can keep close friends. I’ve rarely been hurt by friends like people talk about often, but I fear the process of making friends.

I meet ladies online. I can’t summon the courage of toasting girls on ground. even My 3 years relationship now, I met her on a “singles group”.

I hate the feeling of loneliness but find a strange sense of comfort in it.
Friends are important to me but I can’t bring myself to make any.
I want people to understand me but don’t even try to explain myself.
Initially I felt like I’m alone in this. Everybody else is perfect in this sense, except me.

But because humans are different, because we are different, I believe that there are others like me struggling with this exact problem. We are our own obstacles, and the issue with that is the fact that we cannot ever get past it because the solution is hiding in the last place we would ever search. Like how we overlook things hiding in plain sight because we dismiss them as “too obvious,” we miss the fact that there was actually nothing wrong with the world — there was just something wrong with the way we chose to see it.

You're not alone. This is why people need to speak up,so as for others to help them. You're not a coward, you've been brave enough to say this publicly. People seldom say whatever they're going through in the guise of being mature. But you said yours,that is bravery.

I self sabotage too, but it's not the end of the world, we're humans, we'll survive. As long as we're alive.

So,op. Be cool,be calm, you've got this. Everything's going to turn out just fine, eventually. Just start mingling, making friends bit by bit. It might feel impossible after some failed attempts,but you can only keep trying if you want success. We'll be fine, you'll be fine...
