Why can't they create a narrow pavement or place slabs over the gutter on both sides for people to walk along?

They are not supposed to be walking on the asphalt.

It's because the road is not properly built that they are doing that, in your picture.

Nice to see the sidewalks and covered drains in the first picture.

The third picture's narrow road should have that gutter COVERED.

Put slabs over the damn thing and give people somewhere to WALK.

I saw an interview where Soyinka was telling the British journalist that the British people stank!

The first ship builders and sailors.

The entire world is populated by the descendants of ancient African settlers.

The so called ‘white people’ are descendants of ancient black African settlers who left Africa much much earlier, ie 40,000 years ago, and lost their skin tone to albinism outbreaks or genetic mutations in colder climates.

Modern humans emerged over 200,000 years ago in Africa.

Around 40,000 years ago, some of them migrated out to populate the rest of the world.

The lighter skin tones only emerged about 7,000 years ago, and are NEWCOMERS to civilisation.

By the time they emerged, blacks had already developed everything including writing, mathematics, seafaring, international trade, cities, medicine, architecture, iron smelting, alchemy, law, religion, philosophy, everything.

The entire world including Europe, America and Asia were black for tens of thousands of years before light skin tones and ‘whites’ emerged.

Africa is the birthplace of humanity and the Cradle of Civilisation.
