Twitter has opened the gates for anyone to request verification for their account. Here’s your chance to get that blue check mark next to your Twitter name. Previously, Twitter’s verified accounts were reserved for brands, media, and other public figures but the company now has a streamlined application process for everyone to get verified. Here’s what you’ll need to apply: (http://www.techuncova.com.ng/2016/07/20/verify-twitter-account/) Twitter may also ask for a scan of your government-issued ID for verification. You’ll also have to provide more information to Twitter such as why your account should be verified and additional sites to help prove “newsworthiness or relevancy” in your field. For more on how to get Twitter verified, check out the company’s support page.
