https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NHaq_BHMzrw?si=fOugsk4-1nvz9e0B On Monday, South Africa's Minister of Sport, Arts and Culture, Gayton McKenzie, and FNB Stadium manager Bertie Grobbelaar officially unveiled The Dome in Nasrec, the new 6 000-capacity venue next to the FNB Stadium in Soweto. According to Grobbelaar, the opening of The Dome was not just the unveiling of a structure, but the realisation of a vision with valued partners, which will ensure Johannesburg cements its position as a premier sporting, business, artistic and tourism hub. This dome is more than just a structure; it is a space that will serve our city and its people in multiple ways. The vision of it being a holding space on major game days will enhance the efficiency of our stadium management and the safety and comfort of fans. At the same time, it will provide a world-class venue for smaller concerts, exhibitions and cultural showcases, ensuring that our artists, performers and creative talents have a space in which to shine. He added that the City of Johannesburg thrives on energy, innovation and expression, and The Dome represents a commitment to fostering that energy by attracting top-tier sports events, empowering local and international artists, and strengthening Johannesburg’s role as the heartbeat of South African culture and entertainment. “As we open this remarkable venue, we look forward to the many memorable moments it will host, the dreams it will help fulfill, and the opportunities it will create for generations to come.” At the launch, McKenzie promised to change the lives of upcoming promoters and South African artists. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TtXKW-lCw6U?si=tP2zH3HMU3MNxoIs "The lives of the creators in this country are not going to change in 2026, 2027, but they must change in 2025. Up-and-coming promoters are being kept away from venues because they are not on the databases. When they get to stadiums, they are told they cannot be used. We have made sure that doesn’t happen here, when you are here, even if you don’t have money, your minister has already made provision that you pay afterwards. The minister of happiness has made it happen, and this is only the beginning," he said. He added that the opening of the venue is going to create job opportunities for many, and artists are going to be able to generate money. Warrick Stock, known as DJ Warras, said the opening of this venue was going to benefit the music industry, as there is a shortage of venues. “We need venues that can accommodate crowds above 5 000, that's number one, but also can accommodate for the weather because, when it rains, the event ends up being a flop. Promoters are losing money, making fewer people want to be in the industry and do events,” he said.

seppuku:Japagerians refugees would know how passports work. What an achievement! 😂 South Africans don't know how passports work coz their country works 😂😂😂🏆🇿🇦 |
seppuku:Rice-Stampede-Gerians should brace for her pics in handcuffs (a whole 2nd runner-up miss universe or something 😂😂😂). She's just handed herself in. Home Affairs minister will resign soon. On a more serious note though - is Hunger-geria really that inhospitable? I mean a whole Miss Nigeria dumps you for SA after just 3 months!. WTF!!!😂😂😂😂😂 |
The uMkhonto weSizwe (MK) party’s leader in Parliament, Dr John Hlophe has urged South Africa not to surrender the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) to the rebels. This is amid calls by some political parties for the SANDF peacekeepers to withdraw from the war-torn eastern DRC. 14 South African National Defence Force (SANDF) soldiers were killed in the DRC in the fight between M23 rebels and the DRC defence force two weeks ago. Hlophe told the State of the Nation debate in the National Assembly on Tuesday that any inferior response by South Africa might worsen the situation in DRC. (Watch from 08:45 minutes for direct quote) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6xv_wHoyFDc?si=lzBcBGws5-Bd4BZI DR JOHN HLOPHE, DEPUTY PRESIDENT OF MKP "Honorable chairperson of the National Council of Provinces. We have an obligation as South Africa to defend our sovereignty and territorial integrity, and in doing so, we should appreciate that our sovereignty as a nation should necessarily include the protection and sovereignty and the territorial integrity of all African countries, As we stated in the matter of urgent debate yesterday, South Africa should never surrender the Democratic Republic of Congo to the rebels, because these rebels are funded by foreign role players, including the foreign governments and businesses, which use rebels as conduits and militia to loot our National endowments and wealth. If we run away and surrender DRC to the rebels, they will gain confidence and cause destabilization in the whole of East Africa and then proceed to Southern Africa like they have already started in Mozambique. We cannot and should never surrender the Democratic Republic of Congo TO THESE DOGS we cannot and should never surrender even one inch of Africa's land and wealth TO THE DOGS. We have an elected government in the DRC, and those who seek political power should gain it through democratic means and with the support of the people, and not through the barrel of the gun.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i4G-i9nPLGY?si=4wcJc08hKvteoz10 Miss Universe Nigeria 2021, Chidimma Adetshina, is making headlines once again after allegedly returning to South Africa following drama in 2024 regarding her South African citizenship. The model withdrew from the Miss South Africa 2024 competition after questions were raised about her identity. The Department of Home Affairs later launched an investigation into her mother’s citizenship. In a shocking twist of events, Home Affairs revealed that there was Prima Facie evidence of fraud and identity theft, possibly committed by her mother. She then moved to Nigeria, where she was crowned Miss Nigeria 2024. Many did not anticipate that she would return to Mzansi (South Africa), given the drama surrounding her departure from the country. However, she was reportedly seen recently in the Mother City (Cape Town). According to an X user with the handle @PovertykillerB, Adetshina was recently spotted in Cape Town. In the video, the model is seen enjoying a break with a few ladies in her company. X USERS REACT TO CHIDIMMA’S VIDEO Many X users have questioned the SA legal system for allowing the model to enter the country. Furthermore, others have called on the Minister of Home Affairs, Leon Schreiber, to respond. @RTmmane wrote: “@Leon_Schreib nothing has changed at home affairs, you guys still take bribes from Nigerians . Why is Chidimma back in South Africa? @UMBUZOOjulile wrote: “We gonna need Nigeria’s support when the World turns against us. Please people let’s read the room. The western powers are coming for us we need Africa united.” @GrootbassBoer wrote: “Foreigners will always undermine this country because it’s so called leaders are useless.” @Island_Tribe17 wrote: “She’s probably using a Nigerian passport. @Leon_Schreib needs to confirm her visa and track her stay here.”

Iweakbro:Fake payslip? Buzz off. Get in touch when you can provide proof you live better than black South Africans. You just proofed you dont. BYE, Hunger-gerian. Fake $2,000 transfer 😂😂😂😂 I challenged you to a cookoff with photos of your food and kitchen, and proof its your food and kitchen. You ALL run away! 😂😂😂😂👎🏾 |
BRICS countries are richer, bigger and more influential that when they last supported South Africa's fight for freedom. Plus they have stronger ties than before with each other, hence this formal arrangement called BRICS. Do you think BRICS can defend South Africa against (white supremacist) Trump? BRICS are Brazil, Russia, Indian & China (plus South Africa) |
Iweakbro:Posting your fake salary slip with Nairaland date and topics, game on. Post it on at my requests. I'll post mine SALARY SLIP (IN RANDS) at your request. ARE YOU GAME? Let's then continue to a cookoff - ypur kitchen vs mine, etc etc. GAME ON! |
Hellisreal70:It's no longer about aid, which SA can easily cover. It's about Trump interfering with SA's internal affairs and foreign policy, collaborating with destabilizing anti-transformation forces in SA. He's now talking of doing worse. |
Iweakbro:What's this, Betway? Please I've got a job. You still didn't answer my initial question. You said SANDF can't fight Rwanda and therefore would lose to the whites at home. I asked of you to inform us as to why there's currently a parliamentary session probing why the peace mission was under-resourced. You've been ducking and diving and producing Betway payouts. You can't compare what's happening in Goma to the full force back home. |
Peacecore:Yours is much blacker (and bleached) since you live by the equator in Worst/Waste Africa 😂😂😂 |
Iweakbro:SA is there as part of the SADC force brigade & M23 has previously been defeated. See attachment for PROOF. Hunger-gerian, you didn't answer my question. Is SANDF well or under-resourced right now in Goma (which is subject to a parliamentary inquiry as we speak) and is a state actor not supporting M23 against that ill equipped peace mission? Yes or no. Don't confuse matters.
|
Iweakbro:Are you denying they were under-resourced and that M23 is now backed by a State actor right at the border of Goma? Are you also denying that same SA mission defeated M23 back in 2021? Questions that need answers... |
Iweakbro:You gonna compare an under-resourced peacekeeping mission with the standing force back in its home country (SA)? Are you for real? 👎🏾😂😂😂 |
Blakjewelry:AfriForum has been anti-transformation for decades. Apartheid sympathizers didn't just vanish into thin air when Mandela became president. The inequality in SA is obvious for the world to see - why is it just them and white supremacists like Trump/Musk who can't see it? |
