seppuku:👀 |
IronGalaxy:Mariangeles spends most of her time in the food section (aka kitchen). Do forgive her only coz she started off in this thread on a sensible note and then lost her way 🙏🏽😅. |
Laple0541:Imagine having oil and yet being subjected to far less quality of life than the "third class citizens" in South Africa 🇿🇦🏆😂 Your papa and his papa should have used less energy boasting about "freeing SA" and spent it in securing your future so you don't experience weekly grid collapses. You got the laziest infrastructure building brains in all of Africa. Even once you manage to produce something it's often subpar to other African nations🇳🇬💩💩💩 |
Laple0541:Says someone whose papa and grandpapa failed to lay down meaningful infrastructure since 1960. Today he's also sitting in darkness with no clean running water - with arms folded🇳🇬👎🏽 Instead his wish is to go to South Africa and live off the sweat of the men there who have laid down and continue to expand the best infrastructure in all of Africa. Hence the bitterness coz they deny him visa😂🇿🇦🏆 |
themanderon:How you treat homosexuals in your country with violence is backwardness. |
Kalulu44:Are there no schools in Worst Africa? Don't you know sexuality is determined at adolescence? |
SixSeven:Even in the West where homosexuality is decriminalized many people still face discrimination or loneliness, hence the depression and anxiety levels. I thought you'd mention far worse mental health issues which you choose to describe as "disorders" to drive your point. Many heterosexual people also suffer from depression and anxiety due to social media pressure, for example. Let's also demonize them and characterize their conditions as "mental disorders", shall we. And then beat them up. |
SixSeven:Wouldn't you also develop mental health issues if you faced constant rejection and loneliness? It's a fact that there is a varied spectrum of human sexuality, and no religion or jail time has ever or will ever prevent from occuring. All you can do is trample on the rights of others to be who they want to be but there'll forever be gays (a small minority by the way) because that's just who they are. @brainless54, Tinubu assured me all is good - that's why I'm back😎 |
Sonnobax15:Funny how we're the lazy ones but the Nigerian trademark is Abegistan (we saw it live with ishowspeed) and poverty capital of the world. Ain't it funny? Anyway, gay super falcons will out themselves when they're ready. It's a jungle out there in Worst Africa for homosexuals - backwardness is the order of the day. |
Sonnobax15:I guess it's still a secret only in Nigeria that some female football players are gay. All that you said about SA men was unnecessary but most importantly ignorant. |
Congratulations are in order for the Dlaminis as they celebrate another major milestone. Lulama Dlamini has just added another degree to her name, graduating yet again and proving that hard work pays off. To mark the occasion, her wife Andile Dlamini shared some beautiful moments on social media. The Mamelodi Sundowns Ladies and Banyana Banyana goalkeeper posted pictures of herself alongside Lulama, who looked radiant in her graduation gown. Andile’s pride was clear, especially as this marks her wife’s third graduation. Truly black excellence in action. Fans and followers joined the couple to celebrate with them, including coach Simphiwe Dludlu, who had previously been linked with the Banyana Banyana coaching job. Andile is one of many South African personalities who tied the knot in 2025. She and Lulama exchanged vows on December 20th in a beautiful ceremony attended by family and close friends, with media personality and reality star Dineo Ranaka serving as MC. The couple had been together for several years before making it official. Their social media accounts are full of moments from their life together, showing a love that has grown and flourished over time. ANDILE DLAMINI'S GOALKEEPING CAREER Dlamini was nominated in the Best Goalkeeper category at the CAF Awards in November and played a crucial role in Banyana Banyana’s triumph at the 2023 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations. She also featured regularly in this year’s WAFCON campaign, although the team was unable to defend their title. During the 2025 season, she was at the centre of goalkeeping debates after head coach Desiree Ellis opted for Kaylin Swart on several occasions, a decision that sparked strong reactions from fans who felt Dlamini deserved more game time. Dlamini is widely regarded as one of South Africa’s most accomplished goalkeepers. A long-serving figure at Mamelodi Sundowns Ladies, she has won multiple domestic league titles and lifted the CAF Women’s Champions League trophy twice. At international level, Dlamini has earned over 60 caps for Banyana Banyana, played at the FIFA Women’s World Cup, and was a key member of the team that won the 2022 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations. Her career has been recognised with several individual honours, including Goalkeeper of the Tournament awards and nominations at major continental and national ceremonies, cementing her status as a leading figure in African women’s football.

dominique:Thanks for the honesty - makes sense to use springbok jersey for inspiration than a team you knocked out of the qualifiers.
|
IronGalaxy:He says SA won't make it out the group stages. As if they'd do better since SA kicked them out of the qualifiers 😂😂😂🇿🇦🏆 |
brain54:Beats yours 10-0 🇿🇦🏆

Fried🔥 and soon to be fired during the mid-terms. Team Iran🇮🇷🏆 |
The 2026/2027 away jersey makes a powerful statement in iconic green and gold - a colour combination deeply rooted in South African sporting identity. Designed with a structured collar featuring refined white and gold trim, the away kit blends heritage with sophistication. The collar detailing nods to prestige and progression, symbolising the elevation of South African football across both the men’s and women’s game. The green base represents resilience and growth, while the white and gold accents signal ambition - a reminder that South Africa continues to shine on football’s biggest stages. Both jerseys have been designed for equal representation of Bafana Bafana and Banyana Banyana - reinforcing adidas and SAFA’s shared commitment to elevating the women’s and men’s game in tandem. “While we honour the past generation of the 60’s to the 80s who could not represent South Africa, our partner adidas is bringing the design into the future, as an ode to both the elevation of the jersey but equally the evolution of diski (soccer) which is seeing us shine within global tournaments with our distinct culture and colour. We are hoping for even greater performances and success considering this jersey is built using adidas’ latest performance technology which as a former Banyana Banyana player I can attest to” said SAFA CEO Ms Lydia Monyepao. “This away jersey reflects a timeless elegance, distinctly showcasing the adidas trefoil logo, synonymous with sporting culture and excellence. 2026 is significant as it represents the first year that adidas will introduce this logo to global away federations jerseys across the world during the World Cup. This is in keeping with the sophisticated style direction of these jerseys,” notes Tom Brown, Senior Brand Director for adidas South Africa. “While the styling is distinctly elevated, the elite functionality of the jersey remains unrivalled. The garment is constructed using adidas’ latest performance technology and is engineered for elite competition. Lightweight materials, advanced moisture management, and breathable construction ensure the athlete can perform with confidence under pressure. Every stitch reflects progression. Every detail tells a story.” The adidas x SAFA 2026/2027 home and away jerseys will be available from 20 March 2026 at selected retailers and online. Bafana Bafana will be based in Mexico for the the 2026 Men's World Cup.

eepeepook:👀😂 |
JaceBlaze:They've been suppressing my threads lately so yeh, I'm out. Atleast we South Africans know when to leave when we're no longer welcome, unlike them. |
obiekunie01:I'm not the begging type. It's their loss. |
Zonefree:Zonefree, you're one of the monikers I always instantly recognized ✌🏾👊🏾. I'll still be around cheering on for Team Iran 🇮🇷🏆😂. Hope that's your team too 🤭 |
Have you noticed the change in Nairaland editorial policy? Frontpage is now exclusively for Nigerian, Iran and European football news. Everything else is relegated to obscurity in unpopular sections such as foreign affairs or travel. The forum owner asked for feedback a few weeks back and this is their unfortunate resolution. Goodbye to interesting human interest and global news - NL is now parochial. So, I'm bowing out as your trusted source on South African news. Thanks to all you who showed me love. SHARP oo😅👍🏽 🇿🇦❤️🇳🇬 |
Team Iran 🇮🇷🏆🇿🇦 In 🇿🇦 we know very well who was propping up the apartheid government's nuclear program to use against black South Africans and neighbouring countries 🇺🇸🇮🇱 and who stood with those seeking liberation even when freedom looked impossible 🇮🇷 |
seppuku:Same way u get rid of one rodent that enters your house - they damage they do is enormous. |
Team Iran, well played 🇮🇷🏆... It should no longer be a flex to have US bases in your country. It is now a security risk to yourself. |
TheMensch:You should also be banned for implying South Africans are slaves and hence fuelling toxicity in this thread. Had you gone through Mira's post history you would have realised he's a Nigerian. |
Nigerian pastor John Anosike has accused Gayton McKenzie of xenophobia and intimidation after the Minister and Patriotic Alliance leader voiced his disapproval of the former’s bid on Cape Town’s Good Hope Centre. Anosike, who heads up a church in Maitland, has also responded to critics, claiming his alleged acquisition is “lawful, transparent and fully documented”. Despite bragging about owning the rights, the City of Cape Town has yet to confirm its successful bid. An auditing process is currently underway. MINISTER MACKENZIE'S OBJECTION During a Facebook Live this week, Gayton McKenzie claimed that the Patriotic Alliance approached the management of the Good Hope Centre to host the launch of the Joslin Smith Foundation. He claims their request was rejected. The Minister of Sport, Arts and Culture voiced his disapproval that the Democratic Alliance-led City of Cape Town had allowed Nigerian Pastor John Anosike to bid on the historic landmark. He said: “Over our dead bodies, here will be no Nigerian church. We are not taking arts and culture spaces and giving them to Nigerians. That will not happen. “If that Nigerian pastor knows what is good for him, he must keep that money. My advice to him is to take your money and invest in Nigeria. We will never give you peace. We will fight in the highest court. You will never take that velodrome and have Nigerians there having churches. That place will become a place of drugs. “If the DA thinks…we’re not saying anything, but we’re watching this move. The Good Hope Centre will not be sold to a Nigerian”. PASTOR ANOSIKE'S RESPONSE In a lengthy statement, John Anosike responded to the backlash over his bid for the Good Hope Centre. The Nigerian pastor named Gayton McKenzie, whose strong opposition has garnered attention. Anosike said of the minister: “Statements of this nature raise serious concerns about xenophobic undertones, political intimidation, and the discouragement of lawful investment by foreign residents of South Africa. “When political leaders publicly threaten or attempt to obstruct lawful property transactions that have been conducted within the legal framework of the country, it sends a troubling signal to potential investors and entrepreneurs.” In other Facebook posts, he also sent a “warning” to his xenophobic critics by quoting a bible verse that read: “Be careful how you treat foreigners in your country. For your treatment of them attracts spiritual consequences over the nation”. Another read: “A nation that oppresses immigrants invites divine judgment because injustice provokes God’s wrath.”

Spot on - Team Iran 🇮🇷🏆. Trump and Netanyahu vex me too much. |
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QalxAnDm-cQ?si=huDGMl61Wh6AYMkP The United States’ (US) ambassador to South Africa has gently begun ruffling the feathers of South Africa’s political establishment. Leo Brent Bozell III arrived in South Africa less than a month ago and, on Tuesday, was a keynote speaker at a business conference hosted by BizNews in Hermanus, Western Cape. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zdfY_lsrtFY?si=y3s-pn2jza2EOY3B Bozell was critical of South Africa’s current policy trajectories, drawing counter-criticism from the ANC secretary-general Fikile Mbalula and the EFF. HATE SPEECH AND BLACK ECONOMIC EMPOWERMENT The US ambassador noted the “complexity” of South African society but explained that he had been chosen for the position because of his outspoken nature. Bozell said that South Africa’s domestic and foreign policies shaped perceptions among investors and the broader international community. He made special mention of the ‘Kill the Boer’ chant, declaring it hate speech, and saying he “didn’t care” about the Constitutional Court’s ruling on the matter. Stating that “America First does not mean America alone”, he urged South Africans from all spheres to appreciate the benefits of aligning with US interests. “President Trump has been clear on our concerns. These concerns are not merely rhetorical; they involve the business environment, rural safety, the Expropriation Act and South Africa’s growing engagement with some of America’s greatest adversaries,” Bozell told the BizNews conference. President Cyril Ramaphosa and his deputy, Paul Mashatile, have both confirmed recently that broad-based black economic empowerment (B-BBEE) would remain for the foreseeable future, with Bozell asking businesses to express themselves honestly on the matter. “I want businesses who tell me privately that B-BBEE is hurting them to say so publicly. I don’t want them to feel fear from the government. There has to be that kind of outspokenness,” said the ambassador. 'SA WON'T BE DICTATED TO' On Wednesday, ANC Secretary General Fikile Mbalula’s reply stated that South Africa was “open for business” and highlighted the presence of US corporations in South Africa, as did Bozell, who used them as an example of bilateral cooperation. However, the ANC secretary-general dismissed any concerns about investor confidence, pointing out that major US companies attended the G20 Summit when no senior US diplomats would. He added a subtle reminder of South Africa’s political independence. “We must make it clear to all whom we welcome in our beautiful country, including the new US ambassador, that South Africa’s international relations policy will not be dictated to by anyone else but South Africans and their government. “We reiterate that South Africa believes in a multipolar world which respects international law and international institutions that support a system of multilateralism,” stated Mbalula. 'POLITICAL ILLITERACY' The EFF which is led by Julius Malema took a less diplomatic view of Bozell’s comments, calling them “arrogant and entitled threats”. The party on Wednesday took it further, accusing US President Donald Trump of leading a “child-killing and warmongering” administration. Expanding on Mbalula’s reference to US companies already established in South Africa, the EFF criticised Bozell and his superiors. “Any suggestion that their commercial presence in South Africa is a sign of ‘goodwill’, and ‘commercial diplomacy’ by the US, is indicative of the economic and political illiteracy that plagues The White House today,” the EFF stated on Monday. The party reiterated its belief that the ‘Kill the Boer’ chant amounted to free speech, stating Bozell’s “contempt” for South African institutions justified his removal from the country. “His displeasure, along with that of his president, is worthless. In our view, Bozell’s comments warrant expulsion as an ambassador to South Africa,” the EFF stated.

He's too weak in this era of strongmen in global politics and realignment. What's even Nigeria's foreign policy? Dead on arrival... |
. But you only ended up spilling trash as usual
