edkai:I am 25, unmarried, all my family members are in nigeria, going for a masters degree in accounting which is in line with my undergrad. They don't think my company can hold staffing for two years while I'm gone. Nigerian universities offer a similar course. They don't think I have intentions of coming back after study. |
Good morning everyone. Please I was denied study visa in march based on gte and I didn't reapply, I'm yet to even request for my refund from the school. However, yesterday an agent from IOM Ikeja came to my place of work with a letter dated 22nd May, 2019 with the subject "verification of study leave approval letter" met the managing director and asked her to verify my position in the company. The agent also attached the study leave approval letter I submitted for my visa application and that the MD will have to answer a few question with company letter headed paper. My question is- is this normal? What does this mean? Are they reviewing my documents again? Has anyone else experienced this? Please help. Thank you P. S- the company is a family owned, I did not use an agent for my application, the only rship I had with Iom was for medicals and it was in abuja. Pss-- the letter said " The IOM on behalf of the Australian High Commission present their compliments to the MD and would like to verify the authenticity of the study leave approval of....... Applicant" |
bligs:Thank you for the assistance. Do u think the school will play a huge role? My account statement wasn't the issue. It was over 40m combined (personal and business) I dunno exactly what went wrong. Do you think other schools will give me an offer following the reason for the refusal? |
shupy:Mostly, they said cos I am young and unmarried, working in a family owned business and I haven't demonstrated that I have intentions of coming back. Can I reapply given the said reason for the refusal? What can I do? The money wasn't the issue. If I decide to reapply, what do I say? P. S- I studied 3yrs undergrad outside nigeria and I returned same month I finished even tho I had an extra year visa. Can I include my visa and exit visa? How to I write a new compelling sop if that's possible? |
[quote author=bligs post=76525071]Your agent is right because DIBP will notify your school about the refusal, apply for your refund. The good thing is you can reapply, there are some people on this forum that got their grants after the second application. According to you, your refusal is based on GTE, what is the correlation between your intended program and your degree? Which assessment level Uni did you apply to?[d/quote I studied accounting bsc, want to do accounting (master of business (Accounting) VU. My agent also mentioned that most schools in australia may not give me an offer cos of the refusal |
Good day everyone, I have been a silent reader for quite sometime now and I must comment the effort you all put into this forum. I have recently been refused visa from the Australian government (it is life changing I must say and I am truly sorry for those that have been denied). However, I was denied on the GTE grounds. I was supposed to resume 4th but was denied on the 6th of march.. I have questions.. 1- refusal based on GTE how do I get around that? 2- can I request for a new coe from the school? After my denial and tell them? My agent told me i wont get a new coe, she adviced i get a refund... Tho I told her to send my deferral to the school till November so I can reapply. P. S- I already paid first semester tuition and insurance. 3- if let's say I miraculously get the new coe from my school, what are my chances of getting a grant if I reapply? 4-will other countries give me a visa if I apply to those countries stating I have been denied? Please who can I call or discuss with? Thanks |
