Pls your kind advices would be appreciated

I'm 25 years, and a graduate in one of the Nigerian Uni. In my school, I did a part-time programme, but at the end of the PT programme, an Exemption Letter is issued by NYSC. My Problem is this; I am still below the age of 30, should I opt for the Exemption Letter or should I arrange to go for the NYSC service? Does receieving an exemption letter cut down my chances of getting employment in the labour market?
I have been hearing both the discharge certificate and the Exemption Letter are the same, pls how true is this?
