toykathy:LMAO. I enjoyed it SO MUCH! I didn't even know I had typed that much until I posted it 🤣 |
Wow. Wow. Wow. That was an epistle 😂 It was really such an enjoyable one for me. |
My Sweet Mobster I watched and LOVED this drama so much. A few thoughts: 1) Seo Ji Hwan's character was well written and so lovable. He cared for his people and made sure it showed. Like, nobody could ever doubt that he was on their side. He was so protective of everyone, they were truly his family. I love how awkward he was, always putting his foot in his mouth in romantic situations 🤣 It was funny but very endearing. Especially since he was quick to apologise and make amends when he did something wrong. He has to be one of the most well-written male leads I've ever watched in a Kdrama. 2) I loved how they infused humour into the drama. It made it easy to forget the more frustrating parts of the plot. Frustrating not because it was badly written but because characters kept misbehaving. *Stares at his father in judgement. Is it by force?* 3) That man, Seo Ji Hwan, was a provider man. Like, that babe will not suffer for one day in her life. The way he took initiative and was spoiling the hell out of her. Even when they had a major quarrel, he still went to rent a nice place for her to move into. Then is it the studio he worked on codedly and gave to her? Is it the jewellery? Is it the car? He was very expressive with words (after many mishaps) and his property, love to see it! 4) The female lead was very interesting. She was so problematic in the cutest ways! When she 'arrested' him. Who sent her? 🤣 Or is it when she was beefing him for his response about marriage? And she knew that he was very inexperienced dating-wise. She's just a clown and she chose the perfect career! I love how she wasn't afraid to take the lead when he was hesitating. I love how she cared for him whenever he got hurt (physically and emotionally). Can you tell that I really, REALLY, love this couple? Gosh. 5) The repentant gang members. I really enjoyed the dynamic between all of them. That one who kept calling her a rat until it became her nickname 🤣 The one that loved to cook and feed everybody. All of them had their moments of crase and it was so clear that they didn't just respect their boss, they loved him. 6) His father. *Takes a deep breath* Once again I ask, is it by force? Ha. Anyway, I'm glad he finally left him alone, even though it took Ji Hwan almost dying. He should rot in jail abeg. 7) The bestfriend and the right-hand man. These two were so unserious! I love how he had to weedle and beg and suffer before they got together. Because what does he mean that it was mistake? Mistake finish him there 🤭 When her father didn't want to give them his blessing and Ji Hwan came to beg, it was too heartwarming. Nah. I love his character so damn much. 8} The only thing I'd say made me roll my eyes a bit was the whole 'we knew each other from childhood' trope. It didn't have to be done but they sha tried with how they mixed it into the plot. The fact that he knew and was scared that she'd be disappointed in him. My little meow meowww!. 9) That influencer lady was such a bitch. An actual bully and hateful person, for no reason. Mtcheeeew. I'll rate this drama a solid 8/10. It's one that I will definitely rewatch, repeatedly. I loved it a lot! |
kangminhyuksho:🤣 I'll watch it through your posts. Thank you for your sacrifice! |
Ovems:🤗 I enjoy reading your posts too! I'm not really watching a lot this period. I was watching Dreaming of a freaking tale but I haven't finished it yet |
kangminhyuksho:So in summary, these BitchXRich people are still writing rubbish? 🥲 I remember S1 and feeling like I had wasted part of my life 😂 |
kangminhyuksho:Nokdu flower |
Ovems:LMAOOO Those people annoyed me in that last episode. They're lucky they had good chemistry and the story was solid. Ehn now, since they decided to get intimate in the jungle 🤣 |
Mickey02:🎤🎵Oh, oh, oh! Love is THE MOMENNNNNT🎵 (Nairaland said I should use up to 40 characters so...) |
Mickey02:LMAO, thank you o. The funniest part is that I really enjoyed the drama! Why does your response sound like something a therapist would say? ![]() |
When The Phone Rings I really enjoyed this drama! The fact that they made it 12 episodes instead of 16, ensured that it didn't have a lot of draggy moments. I loved the main and side couples a lot. The newscaster and the doctor were too cute together!!! I obviously loved the chemistry between Sae-on and Hee Jo. Ugh. Love love love them! And then watching BTS clips of them and seeing how they flow well together, I want to ship but I REFUSE TO! 🫠 Now, to some key points, some of which drove me crazy: * After everything they've been through. Was he the one who killed her brother? So after all the wasted years of them not enjoying their marriage, this man had the audacity to run away to 'punish' himself? Universe save me from foolish men. * Warzone Everybody is mad in this drama. So this babe packed her bag and flew to a 'warzone' because of her idiot husband? See why people should not fall in love? Foolish decisions always follow. Back to Sae-on. Chile. So even if he wanted to punish himself, he went to somewhere he could die? Like what was he thinking? That last episode annoyed the hell out of me, I won't lie. * Let's say his 2 years of military service and extra training from working in the presidential office was how he was able to save her from the rebels. These fools now started screaming and quarrelling outside? Deep sigh. First of all, they told Aunty that the place he was staying was rebel territory and she had to be careful. This fine girl wore her Christmas cloth that was WHITE and started running around in the forest. She should have just carried a banner saying 'kidnap me, please' * Then they did not consummate their marriage since o. They didn't do it in the comfort of their luxury apartment in Seoul. Instead they decided to do it in the middle of nowhere, kudos to them This one annoyed me. Did you see their different beds in their Seoul apartment? But they decided to have their first time in where I don't know on what I don't know. I hope bed bugs entered their private parts. I hate what I hate. * Her mother and sister can eat shit for all I can. Especially her mother, very useless. * What else? Oh the villains, hmm. Anyway, this wasn't a serious crime drama so I'll forgive them. The 'real' Sae-on was just too clumsy to not have been caught all this while. Come on. Then his adoptive mother was just in need of psychiatric help and I say this as a matter of fact. Well, she can get that in prison, right? * Then that secretary of his, I wanted to beat him up. I understand his motive sha. And Sae-on brought him back to work for him? How do you build up trust in such a person again? Side note: I thought Sae-on was the twin brother he was looking for until it was hinted that he was the chairman's son. I'll give the drama a 7/10. It would have been an 8/10 but that warzone angle was too unnecessary 🥲 I will probably rewatch this one sometime in the future. Review/Rant over. |
Ovems:LMAOOOO The drama has its good part o but omo |
I just remembered one scene in Twinkling Watermelon that almost made me lose my mind. So the cello-playing babe was struggling with depression and panic attacks, etc. And had prescribed drugs that she brought with her from 2023. Her goat of a love interest, found the pills, threw them out and filled it with candy before returning it to her. Knowing that were years back in time. Omo. I couldn't believe what I was watching. And that brings me to another question. So are they saying that as she traveled back in time, it's love that cured her depression? Because she didn't change anything major on her end. But you see that drug swapping scene, I went back to watch it because I couldn't believe my eyes.

kangminhyuksho:🤣 Thank you |
kangminhyuksho:🤣 It had it's good moments and I really loved Yichan, the younger version of his dad. Loved the loveline with his mum too. I think they spent too much time in the past or the drama could have been shorter. Yeah they were cute but the chemistry wasn't there like that. I wasn't interested in their romance tbh. I'm just glad I finished it. I didn't want to read how it ended online 🤣 |
I finally finished Twinkling Watermelon and chile. While it had its good parts, it wasn't for me overall. It felt like a drag watching it and the ending was a bit unsatisfactory. So they did change the past and that affected the present obviously, but somehow it only had positive effects? Even after everything we learnt from them trying to change the past after traveling back in time? Wo. I rate it a 4/10 and that's me being generous. |
kangminhyuksho:Silly - Gugudan |
kangminhyuksho:Master's sun |

Everybody is mad in this drama.
