To be honest, no responsible man will give out his two kids just like that in the guise of not been able to take care of them. Would your wife had done the same if the tables were turned? I can only imagine the cruelty that await those poor kids.

And for your information, no one adopts fully grown kids in Nigeria. They will only turn them to slaves. Go to jobs section and search for security or driving jobs. That will give you a head-start.

I can do security job but I don't know how to drive and another thing is how I can manage with the kids

But wait, judging from your narrative, I'm guessing you're based in a village and from my experience, there are indigenous foods in every village that the villagers can have free access to within their village land.

It's only in cities, suburbs, and townships whereby you always have to pay for every meal... Now I'm trying to put myself in your shoes whereby I'm stranded in a village with no money and honestly, food would be the least of my problems... Villages are very rich in indigenous foods and you can never go hungry when you're there.

the agent that want to introduce me to the family that wanted to adopt the child was hoping from the compensation the transportation will be recovered hope you understand not selling because there are documents to be signed even with a lawyer but sadly they said he is of age

If I have someone that cares about us I won't have think of the adoption but as it is now this is the only option I have because I'm just on my own together with the kids no one knows if we eat or not or if we live or die

Before I started thinking of giving them out I talked with the kids and made them to understand that once a new family takes them in they will not see me again that new family will be their one and only family and they'll be well taken care of both food to eat and their school and I asked if they really want it the girl said yes that she understands that I'm really suffering to take care of them and the boy too said yes he can adopt to the new family because both of them have suffered in hunger alot and each time they see their fellow age mate going to school they always feel bad most especially the girl even the boy too always tell me he want to go to school but I just can't help it I feel lot of pains in my heart seeing them in pains

Maybe your son might get lucky because he's still young and he's a boy, but no parents would want a teenage daughter unless they want to use her as their slave.

I'm from Enugu state but I moved to Rivers State because my people in the village don't care about us that's why I left it's due to how things are hard that's why I searched online about adoption then I got to meet someone who stays in Lagos after explaining to the person I was asked to come with the kids to Lagos that someone will adopt them once they verify that they're truly my kids and I explained to the person that I'm totally out of funds because we hardly see food to eat so the person sent money for transportation that was used to travel down to the person's place I have the proof of it all the only problem now is that the family that wanted to adopt the child said he is too old so the adoption didn't work again

You don't sound sincere. You are broke but could raise transport from Rivers to Lagos. Why didn't you use that money to feed your kids first? Then, you can go out there and hustle like a man. For someone who is neither sick nor handicapped, I don't know what your problem is.

o can show you any proof you want the agent paid for our transportation hoping the adoption will work out so she can get her money back but sadly it didn't just ask me for any proof you want

I tried to work in waterside in Rivers State Port Harcourt to carry sand from the river to the place the tipper will load at the end of the day I manage to make 2k naira which we use to manage for food and it comes with lot of pains I can't even save money for medication for me or the kids or to even buy some daily necessities for he house because once we use the money to cook it doesn't even last us till night talk more of the next day that's why I searched about this adoption option so the kids won't have to keep suffering like this

actually I have skills after I lost my food stuff business to fire that burnt the whole market I went and studied financial trading from 2019 to 2022 just that I don't have a start up capital but I've learnt everything about it it was that same 2022 that my wife died and I had to sell the only land I have in my village which was used to pay for her hospital treatment but sadly we still lost her and from that same money I did her burial before her family allowed the kids to go with me so technically I have nothing left because that's the only land for left even my late fathers kindred are not happy with me for selling it because when she had the accident they called a family meeting and advised me to abandon her but I can't just abandon her like that with he 2 kids she was from akwa actually while I'm from Enugu state we met when I was still doing my food stuff business as you can see my family member doesn't care about my existence talk more of the kids even my late wife's step mother and her father have never called ever since the day burial was done it's like we're just abandoned since that 2022 till now I've tried to give the kids a good life but the hardship is too much it pains me to see them crying for food they've even forgotten everything about school

if only I can get something I can be doing to be able to take care of them and put them in school it's been 3yrs now the girl stopped at primary 5 and she is 14 now while the boy stopped at nursery 1 and he is 6 now

Guy be careful ooo if children is among your priorities in marriage... Them plenty for my area ooo.. about 6 of them... they all bullshit relationships faced money making and found the monies , not through runs oo... Real hardwork... Now they are not so attractive for young men to marry, so they all married failed men...

Failed men, as we call them here are men who have tried and tried to make it and failed to make it.. they may still b very good men, but in terms of financial resources, they have failed and are now quite old ... Usually about 40+... These ladies married them, infact made the marriage work... They men are handsome, gentle, and faithful,... Problem b say.. all the 6 ladies no fit born...

One is now 43 working in access bank.. married a 35 year old very handsome failed tailor guy, quite tall and loayal to her..

One is a surveyor, owns her own office ND also a big and good jewelry store... Married a secondary skl very handsome gentle tall teacher it's been 3 years den no born... Sh even bought the guy a car..

Another is a. Guy who is young like 35, handsome can hold his own , but long throat if marrying good working class lady made him marry a 39 year old lady who is a doctor in a state hospital, they live an elite life.. but it's been 7 years.. no pikin..

Another is a 4p year old farmer, sh delved into at say age 27, built her poultry farm to one of the biggest in my local government, sh get over 80crates of eggs per day..sh has buses for her business, ride a clean Toyota Corolla car, built her parents house and have several workers.. hardworking, independent, but sh realize late sh needed marriage also...now sh married another failed guy who failed to secure permanent staff status from a marketing possible at fcmb..the guy is frustrated...they are now 4years,no child....

Another is a primary skl male teacher who went for a lady who is 38, sh works for a federal university as non teaching staff and can hold her own and have access to good loan... They are 4 years them never born...

All these I listed , believe me, it's not concocted.. they all live in my neighborhood... Plz be careful my man... We are Africans ND like children...

If we as men now start to reject those old ladies, there will b awakening of concern to get married on time.. but if we keep taking them in cuz eventually they made money, we keep encouraging more to toll their paths..

haven't seen yet still hoping because the agent that sent for us to Lagos we're still in the person's place since the adoption didn't work the person said we'll have to leave latest next tomorrow that's Tuesday

I'm currently at Lagos because I searched adoption page on Facebook I then contacted someone that said I should bring the kids to Lagos because we're staying at Rivers State Port Harcourt so since Sunday last week we've been in Lagos when we got here they said 6yrs is of age now even transportation to go back is a problem that's why I made this post to see if I can get any help

Anyway, if you are in good terms with your wife family, plead with them to collect those children from you as you can't afford to keep them

If they accept them from you, don't go and rush to pregnant another woman. Plan for your life and their life too before you settle down, if not you may fall into the worst of them all

none of my family cares about us since 2022 that their mom passed away even their mom family member doesn't care since I did her burial they've never called to even ask how we're doing so yes I'm willing to sign any documents as long as the kids will have a better life and not suffer and I know it's for a life time once they get to meet their new family

I can adopt her and I stay in Lagos, but we will have to come to an agreement that at least she will stay till she have a proper education not that you will come pick her up and she start going to hustle again with you.
