President Buhari says that the US is 'aiding and abetting' terror group Boko Haram by refusing to supply arms to Nigeria. A US law called the Leahy Law prevents the US government from selling arms to countries which fail to tackle human rights abuses. 50 people have been confirmed dead in a twin suicide bomb blast that rocked Damaturu Yobe state this morning. A statement released by the Acting-Director of Army Public Relations, Col. Construction workers working at Eko Atlantic, a planned city in Lagos State being constructed on land reclaimed from the Atlantic Ocean, are protesting in front of bar beach this morning against N900 pay for casual workers. The horrific incident happened yesterday in Warri. The eye-witness writes below...

"Was at Firstbank Udu road branch in Warri yesterday, when suddenly the bank bullion van and police escort was coming on high speed on a wrong lane. Is a double lane road but the bullion van was on the wrong lane with the police avoiding to go and turn a few meters from the bank. Suddenly a tipper that was coming opposite lost control because of the ruff driving of the bullion van, and the tipper trying to pave way for the bullion van lost control and crush an innocent girl's leg, damaging both legs. Youths from nowhere came and start throwing stones into the bank, before police came and start shooting into the air."

The All Progressives Congress, APC, in Akwa Ibom has accused a former governor of the state of bribing an electoral chief to frustrate the party’s petition.

The APC on Friday alleged that former Governor Godswill Akpabio, now Senator, bribed the INEC Electoral Commissioner in Akwa Ibom, Austin Okojie, with N2.5 billion to frustrate the party’s petition challenging the election of Udom Emmanuel as governor.

The reign of terror by suspected members of the Boko Haram sect continued Tuesday with a deadly bomb blast killing at least 45 people in the Sabon Gari area of Zaria town, Kaduna state.
The governor of the state, Nasir El-Rufai, confirmed the casualty figure via his Twitter handle.
The attack came hours after a suicide bomb attack at a Mosque in Kano on Monday.
