I visited my fiancée's family yesterday. I received a warmly welcome....I was offered pounded yam and different soft drinks but I refused to eat....they said it's an old method to reject offer in in-laws house. I managed to eat just 10% of pounded yam....they asked me there is an extra room but I told them I agreed to sleep in a friend's house.... Note: We are from core north....This morning I went back, after the service....I was served rice....I ate almost 90 percent with my fiancee because of hunger....The way I ate, does that portray a sign of disrespect?
