GeneralOuki: Opone is an Academia and a professor in Historian studies, he's an expert in the history of those who make up the Anioma and it's surroundings and the paper he published which I linked, written after conducting an extensive research on Ukwuani and neighbouring clans. Anyone who dismisses Opone's papers is doing so out of ignorance especially when they haven't even read the research work in question. You're telling me to take a trip down to where I have lived for almost half a decade? You're joking. I asked you a question which you have refused to answer, probably because you know what the answers would reveal. Anyway, I am very much aware that I'm arguing this matter with a total outsider so I will stop here. You have lived there for half a decade. I am an indigene. It is home to my ancestors and I. We have made our point clear.

GeneralOuki: you don't need to tell me anything, I already figured that out . My boss that I mentioned is an Ukwuani man .
By the way read this Historical journal by Paul Opone, he's a well seasoned historian and a lecturer in Delta state university. https://www.ajol.info/index.php/ujah/article/view/166014
According to historical findings: The findings indicate that Ukwuani people are Igbo in origin, and the claim of origin from Benin which textbook generalizations tended to portray is a recent contraption made possible by feedback in oral tradition." Opone cannot speak for the whole Ukwuani. What do you know about us other than wetin google tell you? Take a trip down here. Primary research will give you answers to your questions. Nor dey find who nor dey find you. We must not be from the same tribe for us to live in peace. Learn how to respect people. |

GeneralOuki: Your people have spoken? This was just an election for card carrying members of APC. Unless you want to tell me you're only 4k in number Okowa didn't use anyone for politics, his name says "Ifeanyi", guess what language that is? In fact 90% of Anioma language is intelligible with other Igbo dialects, do you understand what that means? Your traditions and culture are distinct Igbo, your lettering something. If you're from Ukwuani as you say , then I challenge you to speak your native dialect let's see. My former Boss in Lagos was from Anioma and he never misses the opportunity to tell me his ethnicity whenever we're in a private discussion.
It's a very weird thing tho, it's only online that you see people denying they're Igbo from Anioma, but in real life you hardly see this denials, which lead me to conclude that most of the people doing are probably from a completely different ethnicity trying to sow discord. I nor owe you any proof. Ukwuani nor be Igbo. We nor relate. |
Politics › Re: APC Senate Primaries: Okowa’s 4,462 Crowd Overshadows Ned Nwoko’s 3 by Readinglamp: 11:49am On May 19 |
GeneralOuki: I don't need to listen to what you're saying online, I've stayed in Onicha/Asaba for years, I listen to what the people themselves are saying in real life, not what someone who doesn't even understand the meaning of "Ifeanyi" is saying online. I have attended traditional weddings and burials and their tradition is distinctively Igbo, their languages Igbo and they bare igbo names. That's majority of the people I interacted with who are Anioma. Even this Same Okowa identified himself as an Igbo man not too long ago.
If I start to query you on your ancestry right now two things will be revealed, either you don't know yourself or you're not even from Delta state My people have spoken. Haven't they? You wana query me on my ancestry. Audacity is that you? Okowa use una play politics. But at least he spoke about himself only. Ned Nwoko too sef. But e nor come enter for am. When you are unnecessarily emotional about things, people will take advantage of you. |

GeneralOuki: the people in Anioma area is majorly Igbo people. That's a fact that even the traditional heads there have made clear to anyone still in doubt. Okowa himself identified himself as an Igbo man. We are not majorly Igbo people. How else do you want us to say it? Omor na wa ooo. Even Asagba of Asaba don tell una. Some of una start to insult am. Sometimes, listening to the other party is important. You can't impose a tribe on people. We go tell you our root reach ground. Even areas i felt were igbos in Delta North have said otherwise. God forbid that i would start to argue a person's ancestry with them. You can't come to our communities to call us Igbo. All of these ends on social media. Even visitors wen dey among us, we know them. No matter how long them don stay here. |

GeneralOuki: Did they tell you that Igbo are not indigenous to South South? His opponent bares the name Okowa Ifeanyi, which tribe owns that name, is it Urhobo, itsekiri or ijaw? The people of Anioma are proudly Igbo, where the state would be zoned to If it is created is where the debate is, but the ethnicity is never in doubt. The Igbos are only in the enuani areas. We the ukwuani people are not Igbo. No offence to anyone. It is what it is. |

DomPerignon: Have you not seen them post here that Anioma state creation is dependent on it being ceded to the SE?
They insist that your State project is tied to the condition that Anioma must be part of SE.
When has that ever been the case that the clamor for a state is now being determined and conditioned by people not from that same state?
You guys think these people like you not knowing they are only after your lands . We know their intentions are not pure. They call us all sort derogatory names. And then they think we will want to join them. We have told them our ancestry. We won't dilute anything to make anyone happy. |

Burruchaga71: The issue of wether Anioma should be part of south east, which Okowa is trying to use to unseat Ned, is a double-edged sword and the side that points to him even seems sharper! More people from that region, especially the masses, want Anioma in South East. It's the elites; Asagba of Asaba, ther foot soldiers and a few failed igbophobic Delta politicians, whose fame would be dwarfed in found in South East, that doing all these hustling. There is no way southeast will be 5 states and southsouth will get an additional state.
If you are insisting that Anioma will be in southsouth, then no state for you. Have we been crying for a state? Anytime Anioma comes, we are ready to wait. Let the east create it's state from within. Where were you all when a region created its 7th state while your region has 5? |

ElevationD: And to you, Okowa will not pursue the same plan until it is realized?
The earlier those of you who continue to confuse yourselves with your identify begin to know who you are, the better. You cannot change your Igbo identity. If monkey go London come back, na still monkey e be.
Okowa has always maintained that he is an Igbo man from Agbor. Go and read all the news about him. He started that long before he became the Governor of the state. He assumed the Governorship because it was the turn of the Igbos. How do you want to change that?
Above all, it is too late to change the narrative. You probably recently did not hear Akpabio confirm that the next SE state would be Anioma. You probably also did not hear Benjamin Kalu (the deputy speaker), last week advocating for a fusion of Anioma and Anim in Anambra to make Animoma state, with Asaba as the capital.
So whoever you vote for between Okowa and Ned immaterial now. They both pursue the same agenda for Anioma state creation. If Okowa wins, he will only complete the job started by Ned. Some of you naive, believing that Ned will just sit down and watch Okowa take his position.
By the way, if Ken Pela will run on the ADC platform, he will definitely win this time and pursue the same agenda.
Go up come down, na you lose sleep. Okowa wouldn't. Your post too long. Dey summarize. |
