Abuja
Visa Type : B1
Appt Time: 9:30
Status: Approved

VO: Good Morning can i have your passport?
R: Passes it
VO: You are married, are you going with your wife?
R: No
VO: Do you have any kids?
R: No
VO: Where in the United States are you going?
R: I am going to New York.
VO: Why?
R: To sit for the New York Bar Exam
VO: Why is that?
R: My Firm does transnational transactions and have a lot of clients across the world including the US, so when i sit and pass the bar, i have the benefit of becoming an international lawyer, because a licenced attorney in New York, through reciprocity can practice not only in over 30 states in the US but other common law jurisdictions like the New Zealand, Australia and Canada. Also i am not the only one in my firm that has an international license to practice. We have two other lawyers.
VO: How many lawyers are in your firm?
R: 9
VO: How many are licensed to practice in the US or other jurisdictions?
R: Two, one in the US and the other one just passed the SQE in England.
VO: Where in New York would you be staying?
R: I can’t confirm that yet, as that is conditional on the board of law examiners, post registration, there are six locations, Albany, Long Island, New York city, Buffalo white plains and saratoga springs., it could be any of these locations.
VO: Do you have relatives in the US
R: Yes my younger brother, he is a student.
VO: Where does he stay?
R: Nashville, Tennesee
VO: Who is paying for your accommodation in New York?
R: My Firm would be doing that.
VO: Are they booking you in a hotel or…
R: Whatever accommodation of my choosing
VO: How long would you be staying in New York?
R: About a month, because there are three components to the exam, the UBE and the MPRE and NYLE , they about a month apart and the… VO Cuts in…
VO: In Texas, its the 3 days in a row nonstop you get to write all the exams, it was hell for me, it traumatized, i never want to practice again.
R: Oh wow, thats something, i guess new york is a bit fair but the studying has actually been very hectic.
VO: Yes i feel for you all i can wish you is luck.
VO: Continues typinggg (at this point my heart was in my mouth but i was hopeful)
So i have approved your visa (hands me out the white paper) I wish you good luck
R: I really do need it
VO: Yes you do, all the best.

wink It is an open secret actually. And you may not want the exit row seat in a bigger plane as a 767 that have the toilets right in front of you. Plus the trays being in the arm rest may make it immovable.

I wish! I am far from being an enthusiast.

Honestly, the little I know and have written about I doubt qualifies me as an enthusiast. An enthusiast will in addition to all fly for pleasure. Sadly, I haven't.

I pick the drift and I hope you know gathering this much interest and information about flying indulge the pleasure you derive in the act regardless of whatever intent that put you on a bird initially wink

fly like an eagle; let my spirit carry me Steve Miller

Happy flying cool

The wings appear to shake when the plane is taxiing as it rides on the joiners between the runway concrete slabs, when it is banking, in turbulence and when the brakes are applied when landing. It appears firm at other times.

I love to sit by the window on the wings. I think it gives the best view. I prefer the exit row seat (A11 or 12/F11 or 12 on the 737-400) in economy because it has leg room. However, one has to take the responsibility of manning the exit door in case of emergency.

Always pick an A seat if you want to seat by the window wink
I thought I'm the one that know about the exit row seats wink you ar really an aviation enthusiast

My friend stop the wanton display of ignorance and myopia.

Was Peter Obi still a governor when he decamped to PDP compared to Mimiko?
it's not myopic on your part that you kept vindicating Mimiko even if Obi isn't admissible. What about scores of other decampees to PDP? why the democratic 'collision are bn sentimental, which is my concern initially before one expired entity dragged PDP, APC bla bla bla into it.

WombRaiders:

NADECO was the lone voice of opposition and the most vocal advocate for the return to civilian rule during the Abacha dark years.

Even your Theifnibu rose to limelight politically through NADECO.

But just like typical Tinubu to burn every bridge he crosses, he destroyed the AD which was the political wing of NADECO after he was elected governor of Lagos.

You children should read or consult your parents on the history of Nigeria maye then we won't have jobless shameless people liked egift, Barcanista and that witch Berem deceiving you ignorant fools that Buhari is the light.
so in your esteemed aged intellectual facade sir, it's only the aforementioned politician that has moved to another party or stole mandate

Whatever happened to mimiko and peter obi, between I only pointed out the folly of the so called 'democratic' dispensation.

I didn't mention tinubu nor do I Buhari, your inextricable obsession with whoever as5 yur licking is amazing sir cheesy

If every leader abide by this declaration, the world would really become a better place

O People! I have been given office although I am not the best among you. If I did well, support me and if I deviated rectify me. Truthfulness is a deposit and lying is treason. The weak person among you is strong with me till I restore his right and the strong person among you is weak with me till I take what he has usurped…obey me as long as I obey Allah…”
