I tried updating my OS this night, I had to delete lot of stuff before I finally got it to download 995 MB of the update file. But sadly, while on 97% of the 2/2 stage of installation it gave an error and asked for more space.

By the time I now checked the size of the new update, it's around 1.5 gig. That's not even the troublesome part, the crazy part is that it's now requesting for extra 1.1 gig of space to be deleted before the new installation file could be downloaded and I don't even know what else to delete. Having almost deleted almost all my apps while attempting to download the first update.

Any ideas that could help me out pls?

How to perform a Security Wipe on the bb10
From the homescreen of your bb10, you have easy ways to get to the Security Wipe setting:

Navigate: Go to Settings > Security and Privacy > Security Wipe.
Search: Tap the Universal Search icon and start typing wipe. Security Wipe will pop up as a search results and you can tap into it 
To proceed with the Security Wipe, you'll need to type blackberry into the text field on the page. Type it, then hit Delete Data. It can take a while for the wipe to take place. Just wait for it, even if it's a long time (over 15 minutes). Don't pull the battery out while you're waiting!

Make sure your battery has enough power
Before proceeding or plug in to power.

What data gets deleted?
When you perform a wipe on a BlackBerry 10 phone, all data on the phone itself will be deleted. This includes data, files and apps.
Note: If you have a Micro SD card inserted, data on the card will not be deleted.

and check for update you will get d new one
then you can update and save yourself from the stress and

I downloaded it last night was about 1gb. But the installation failed and started all over again to 1.5gb

But checking my device memory, it counted the previous one...it was formerly on 6gb used...when it downloaded the previous one, it increased to 7.2gb. but unfortunately it started all over

Now the new update which is 1.5gb has increased the device memory used to 8gb.
Is there a way I can delete the failed download to free my memory?
