Fellas, just to add to the "unknown number" discussion. A lot of ppl hv bn xperiencin difficulties but the responses they're getting r not addressing their complains. Just to make the qualms clearer, I'll attach a screen shot showing the problem and another aimed @ resolving it. I hv bn unable to resolve mine coz, the portion for SIM is not edittable.

To get to the SIM edit.. Settings>Security and Privacy>SIM card.

Root is basically having super administrator rights to edit an OS or software code on a device. Giving u ability to install custom apps and make changes dt the software manufacturer originally restricts..
