Heroism in Nigeria means different things to different people.

While some Igbo people see Yakubu Gowon as a warmonger who would not let Biafra go a lot of Ibibios, Ijaws, Kalabaris, Ekios, Efiks, and Annangs see him as a hero because he liberated them.

The pains of the civil war are yet to heal. But Nigeria deserves peace and progress. This is the direction everyone must travel towards - promoting true federalism and regionalism in a one-united Nigeria.

Ojukwu never instigated the civil war. Gowon agreed on Aburi accord in Ghana and when he got to Nigeria he reneged. If Aburi was implemented or agreed upon the war wouldn't happen in the first place.
