Education / AGE WAHALA: What Should I Do? by Reckless0q1: 4:50pm On Jun 11, 2021
Hello Nairalanders,

I have a concern which I need advice on.

I just graduated from the university with a First Class degree (in one of the Engineering courses) and I'm awaiting service. However, by the time I'm done with service, I will be about 29+. This has put me in a serious dilemma because we know the age problems when it comes to jobs in this country.

I feel a bit bad primarily because it wasn't my fault that life happened (I dropped out of school and had to train my self).

To be honest, I actually considered slashing my age... But there are now stricter measures especially with the printing of one's age on one's NYSC discharge certificate. I have also previously considered rewriting WAEC(to get an o'level cert that reflects the age I want) and all that. I'm seriously at a crossroads and I need advice.

Pls, what must I do?
