Arkmanbuddy:
I believe it's a waste of time arguing with Reno in this case as he's stated before now, admitting his fault in believing false accusations in news platforms and he's apologized. The evidence is there.

If both men: Reno and Sowore are brought in to discuss this, there's no way Sowore can win as Reno will present records: date and time, showing his rebuttal of his former statements against the president.

Reno is a trouble maker and he enjoys this kind of thing.
That he admitted and there are evidences does not erase or validate the post esp. when there is evidence he is a benefitted changing mouth

We are not stewpid, why did Reno wait till Tinubu was president before seein the light cheesy and isnt tew much of a coincidence he get appointment afterwards

Reno appointment is it a Gift or Reward ?? undecided

I Dont blame Lere olayinka sometimes i blame the society .... We are weak thats why politicians dont regard us

is godfatherism constitutional, why as Wike not taken Fubara to court and present the Almight AGREEMENT

If Wike has so much confidence to tell Nigerians about an Agreement that promote diversion of state funds then something is wrong with us as a people
Nobody will argue benefica is bigger than real madrid, madrid had all the superstar players ... yet 4- 2 Benfica won thats a lesson to lere olayinka

Politics › Re: MRS To Sell At ₦839 Per Litre As Dangote Refinery Increases Petrol Price by reddingtonblack: 4:10pm On Jan 28
IbeOkehie:
The difference was that subsidies on petrol were abolished and prices deregulated.

Before that change in government policy, there was scarcity, corruption and wasted revenue. That's why Dangote didn't build a refinery in say 1992.

When government was the ONLY LEGAL operator of telecoms in Nigeria, less than 0.1% of the population had access to phones. In 2001 the telecoms industry was privatized and deregulated and MTN gave us the first private service. Since then availability of phone service has grown by leaps & bounds to where at least 70% of Nigerian adults have access to telecom service.

There's nothing special that Dangote did. He's simply following the law and I trust that many other investors will build more refineries.

Good Luck to Nigeria.
what subsidy ?? same subsidy no one can give account of , even sarahareport dont know how much pay on subsidy thats your defence

i remember vividly whenever int'l price drops Nigeria raise the alert .. Govt defence is Budget benchmark that they cant fall short so no reduction

That why for donkey years Rise oo Decrease oo Nigerians benefit nothing no effect until dangote happened

Bro before you talk be informed, Dangote dont have the capacity to own a refinery in 1992 how old was is baby Cement factory then .. besides Nigeria had Refineries that were working then so whats the rush about

Compare Telcomm to Oil sector in Nigeria sound childish to me ... do they face same challenge and vested interest

In the telecomm sector who are the cabals nd regulator with vested interest that fought econet, mtn, etisalat.
The resources and Time needed to build a Refinery did it take Telcomm say year

Bro if likes of shell, chevron are in Nig. and they refuse to diversify into Refinery .. it is a big deal

IF Nigeria for the last two decades cant even repair successful a refinery or dare to build another Bro what Dangote built is big deal

Despite Dangote paving the way and showing that Refinery is a possible business in Nigeria ... Please how many people don show interest to build, those collecting licenses decoy into importation

Dont ever a say it a Again, Refinery is such a BIG DEAL as far as Nigeria is concern so many forces are against it .. see Dangote white hair under 2yrs

IbeOkehie:

There's no ASSUMPTION, my statements are CORRECT. Crude oil prices directly determine petrol prices....

UNLESS THERE'S GOVERNMENT INTERVENTION, which is why you didn't know the difference before Dangote built his refinery. The Federal Government of Nigeria introduced subsidies for petrol in 1973, which kept prices artificially low and insulated from the market. This subsidy was a major cause of CORRUPTION and waste of government revenue.

After 50 years of ruination, President Bola Tinubu abolished the fuel subsidy in May 2023. The effect was natural and predictable, Nigerians now know the difference between high and low prices for crude oil.

I'm sure you know all this, I've encountered you before on this Nairaland and you will just continue insisting on things that are plainly false. And that's OK, there's always bad information floating out there, nothing can be done about it.

Cheers mate.

Good Luck to Nigerians.
Bro i am not saying Int'l market fuel didnt drop .. my stances is simple

Before Dangote refinery came on board ... what was the situation ? do we know the difference

if int'l market price was as low as you posit then why were the marketers nagging & complaining about dangote price ?? please make it make sense

You cant discredit or undermine Dangote as being a huge cushion to Nigerians if not him we for don dey choke
Politics › Re: MRS To Sell At ₦839 Per Litre As Dangote Refinery Increases Petrol Price by reddingtonblack: 12:33pm On Jan 28
IbeOkehie:
Dangote reduced fuel prices late last year because crude oil prices were low. I remember something like $55 for WTI crude.

He's raising the price now because crude oil prices are higher right now at around $62.

I hope that makes sense. Have a great day.

Good Luck to Nigerians.
Lets even assume you are correct, naa because of int'l low price ... Is that the 1st time int'l market price dropped LOW

Naa today we dey Nigeria, Before Dangote nkor .. what do NNPC/Marketers do huh

low price or high soaring int'l price do we even no the difference Before Dangote

Like it or Not ... Dangote refinery is the best thing that as happened to Nigeria, The subsidy removal shege for be hell

That's not a Nigeria problem, it is a universal one. An average worker in the US can't build a house without mortgage. Many salary work are for maintenance and not for wealth creation, you need to play outside the box as a salary worker to acquire some things in life
Bro dont insult our intelligence here, Maybe owning a house a challenge universal But in Nigeria case it is a hopelezz situation

thank god you admit ... foreign countries have a mortgage system nd genuine low cost housing scheme for workers that is feasible, Buh in Nigeria its either a case of OYO or a scam

A worker abroad regardlezz of salary amount, has access to good health care, stable electricity, comfortable transport scheme, credit/loans, mortgage and welfare packages like Tax refund dont even compare us. undecided

The low cost housing Nigeria govt build when you hear the price you begin to wonder are this people crazy .. at the end its high level workers that buy it ... we are not run by sysytem we are run by people who politicize every damn thing

Show him or her, something that resonate tourism .. take him/her to places that have history, culture and values

You see this white people .. you can never go wrong with them projecting tourism so research places or beta still ask around

Did you read his CV, you want a politician who has been active in politics at the very high top for more than 40 years not be able to afford a house. Common, use your sense.

Do you pray to work for 40 years
and still be living in a rented apartment?
Sadly in Nigeria you will have to pray to get even your own pension you contribute ... i remember the prayer session my went through just to get there pension after working for 35yrs

The other sad reality is that with the poor salary package predominant in Nigeria and incessant inflation Lots of workers wont be able to own a good house even if they work 40yrs
To buy quarter land alone now is over 9m on top 70k minimum wage

No explanation, no reason except show of arrogance, Even if court force those people to work will they put there mind to work no assurance nothing .. Govt just want to use power on them

imagine they adjourned till march, a perfect plan to kill the union spirit, i pray the workers dont listen to the bought court verdict ... very heartlezz till date Pencom have not still paid pensioneers there money all thanks to the monster in aso rock

The conflict began when an individual operating under a false identity claimed ownership of a song featured in Where Love Lives. Bimbo Ademoye, who has full rights to the song and the artist’s approval for its use, faced an unexpected strike on her film as a result of the false claim.

You can see that the young man have no right to the song abinitio. This goes beyond who copyright it first
