I think Ohaneze's political agenda is to make Igbo a strong bloc in both PDP and APC. Igbo's cant put all their machinery in a party, if they lose, they lose everything. But if you are a strong bloc in both party, you will always have an alternative. |

r33d: Thank you. Someone is calling China. The USA has a higher living standard, a higher education standard and takes care of its citizens better. As for statistics, it is the same that relates Nigeria to the biggest economy in Africa. Figures without real substance Most people does not know the meaning of GDP. US is like a father with 25 children getting annual salary of N1.4m and china, a father of 1000 children getting an annual salary of N1.6m. Who will have better standard of living: US Who will have more economic power: China. Because of their large GDP, if they cut trade with any country, it will have more effect than the US(Ofcourse without the support of their allies expecially EU) An example is qatar and US, Qatar have better standard of living while US have more powerful economy. |

Politics › Re: Jonathan Demands Retraction Over Inclusion In Richest African President List by reedonne: 8:04pm On Oct 08, 2014 |
mollode: We have noted with consternation the listing of President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan by a website – RichestLifestyle.com – as the sixth richest African President with an estimated net worth of $100 Million U.S. Dollars.
The Presidency condemns the totally unwarranted inclusion of President Jonathan in the publication titled “Africa’s Richest Presidents 2014” as another attempt to unjustifiably portray the President as a corrupt leader and incite public disaffection against him.
We categorically assert that there is no factual basis for ranking President Jonathan as the sixth richest African Head of State with a net worth of about $100 Million U.S. Dollars. As is well known, President Jonathan has never been a businessman or entrepreneur, but a life-long public servant. The President has held public office since 1999 and has regularly declared his assets as required by Nigerian laws. He has had no personal income since 1999 other than his official remuneration as deputy governor, governor, vice president, acting president and president which are matters of public record.
There has been no significant variation in the totality of his personal assets as contained in his last declaration to the Nigerian Code of Conduct Bureau in 2011 which, as can be verified, was a very, very far cry from the $100 million figure now being bandied about by Richest Lifestyle.com and other irresponsible, copy-cat publications.
The clear and unacceptable imputation of the claim that President Jonathan is now worth about $100 Million is that the President has corruptly enriched himself while in office which is certainly not the case.
We therefore demand a retraction and an unreserved apology from Richest Lifestyle.com and all those who have reproduced the offensive article.

Hundreds of Boko Haram terrorists feared killed in Adamawa
October 6, 2014
Premium Times Soldiers
A fierce gun duel is taking place between members of the dreaded Boko Haram insurgents and Nigerian troops who have been intensifying efforts to reclaim territories captured by the insurgents in Adamawa Northern zone.
Reports from the area indicate that about 200 insurgents may have been killed in this latest offensive forcing them to retreat as Nigerian troops took control of Michika.
According to a source, “the Nigerian troops have gained an upper hand in the ongoing war to rout the insurgents out of Michika town which has been under the grip of the insurgents for close to a month.
“Nigerian troops are advancing towards Gulak in consolidation of the success they have made but the insurgents launched an offensive against them leading to the fierce battle between the two sides which is on as at the time of filling this report.”
Another source from Michika said Nigerian troops entered the town following a phenomenal success they made against the insurgents who suffered severe casualties.
“The Nigerian troops have gained entry into Michika and are now fully in control of the town having killed a lot of them (the insurgents),” the source said.
The sources, however, added that it has not been an easy feat for the Nigerian troops as they are facing stiff resistance from the insurgents as they advance towards Gulak.
He added that that both sides have been in a prolonged gun duel as many insurgents and ammunitions were deployed to counter the troops.
“There is heavy fighting between the insurgents and Nigerian troops as the insurgents are doing everything to frustrate the effort of the Nigerian troops and many people who are trapped in the towns are now sneaking out following intensified fighting,” our source said.
“The gallant Nigerians soldiers were attacked from the back by the militants but the military men engaged them in a fierce battle for over five hours back.”
Efforts to get the reaction of the Public Relations Officer of the 23rd Army Brigade in Yola failed. His telephone phone line was not reachable. |

Probably not because they have more than 50 leaders. |

mrham03: we dont plan to build too many factories, we just want to export power to those countries including your beloved nigeria. Since naija has big plans for the future: factories, more houses, more schools, hospitals, u will need more power which ghana is going to export to u. U myt want to consider ur plan not to produce a football team coz a higher population is needed to achieve naija's future plans. If only we can harness our population as resources, we wont need anybody's help to build our power stations talkless of importing one. |
