We have Navy, Police, Civil Defence and Army for a reason. We have the intelligence and security agencies for a reason.

Their jobs are entirely different. It’s just because we’ve mixed everything together in Nigeria that’s why it seems odd to you. For example, Secret service are meant to protect high ranking political officials and nothing more, the military primary job is defending the country against external aggression I.e against other country military. Immigration protects the borders. Police maintain laws and orders in the country with many other special squads including homeland security jobs. At the moment in Nigeria, only civil defense are doing actual homeland security job. Interior office are mostly concerned with internal affairs of a country not basically the internal security of a country. Intelligence have the power to work outside the shores of the country. So only homeland are majorly task with securing the country against internal security risk.

@Refinedbeing, I will advise you not to bother yourself or waste your time contacting anybody. Spring Bank's license was revoked in 2011, and it became Enterprise Bank. Then, Enterprise Bank was acquired by Heritage Bank.

However, in 2024, Heritage Bank's license was revoked by the CBN. Hence, all shareholders of Spring Bank lost all their investment. So you don't have any shares to transfer. The investment is lost completely. This is one of the negative or downsides of stock investment. If the company goes under, the ordinary shareholders lose out.

Irrespective of what has happened, buying shares of reputable companies remains one of the ways of keeping the value of your money. So don't stop investing because of this experience from Spring Bank.

Please guys, how can I claim, have access to my dads shares in Spring bank (which doesn’t exist anymore).

I have sent mail to Afribank, the then Springbank registrar and they told me they are no longer to the bank hence they can’t help. I’m just trying to see if I can actually transfer the shares to my portfolio. I have all the shares certificates but I don’t know how to go about it. Thanks

Instead make Bala and Seyi Makinde swallow their pride, settle with the other Wike faction and stop the unnecessary division in PDP so they can have a solid party to contest under in 2027, they are busy fooling themselves. It’s not as if either of them is interested in federal power like presidency in that 2027, they just want to install their candidates and probably run for senate. So why not settle with Wike, I’m pretty sure he’s not interested in your structures which you oversee in your states. If the likes of Saraki and other bigwigs can keep calm for the sake of the party, why are you two running around.

If i were the president, the solution is simple and very drastic but it has to be done to end this carnage.......set up a tactical anti terrorism team with SWAT capabilities answerable only to yhe C in C.......they will be deployed to any location a kidnapping has taken place.......geo fence them in and surround all exits,give them just 24 hrs to surrender and if they resist engage with maximum force......there will be collateral damage I agree but I rather pay the compensation to the families of the victims than pay ransome to those criminals.....if this happens in 2 to 3 cases all these rubbish will end because as a bandit you know,the result is death.......no negotiation with bandits,this may sound too extreme but the price has to be paid for tbeir to be peace.

Since early hours of today, there’s been massive resignation of PDP chieftains and office holders loyal to His excellency Seyi Makinde from the PDP in Oyo state. The first I heard and saw off was that of a local government chairman and another of a rep member. Well I’ve heard reports of more but yet to confirm for myself.

I think His excellency is finally leaving the party for the Wike led aithority. Well personally in my belief, I think he’s going to ADC with his anointeds and loyalists. But politics is deeper than what we see so who knows.
