Don't be mad. They are just doing their job. It’s one of their job to make sure there’s no unrest in the country and that the president is protected. The Nigeria police should also do their job and track kidnappers. DSS won’t be doing that for them.

Tinubu should just go ahead and restructure the Nigeria security system. I used to favor state police before but with what I’ve seen recently in this Oyo state insecurity issue, i honestly think it’s a bad idea. If states have the ability to create all these security groups like Amotekun, Hisbah and likes then I don’t think there’s any need for any more state police because at the long run, most of them will still depend on the federal for security while collecting security votes and allocating budgets for the state police.

What we need right now in Nigeria is a strong homeland security from the borders (immigration and customs), Forest(Forest guards), and our seas(marine coast guards) and the Minning marshals from the NSCDC is a plus. If we get this right, it will reduce insecurity. And since most of the crimes of today like banditry, terrorism are all federal crimes then no one can fault the governors. The FG should do their job.
