Residents react as traffic warden and traffic volunteer fight in Imo.

There was chaos at Fire Service roundabout in Owerri, Imo State, on Monday, as one Juliet Chukwu – a member of traffic volunteer group, Elite – got into a bloody fight with a traffic warden.

In the viral pictures taken by one Stephen Don Eze, the duo can be seen covered with blood. Although the cause of the fight has not been ascertained, many residents have taken to social media to react, with all of them condemning Juliet.

One Chinaza Nwogu has been arrested by the Imo State police for conniving with her fiancé, Emmanuel Sunday, 29, to kidnap her 88-year-old father, Pa Njoku Louis.

The police also disclosed that the suspects had equally made away with their victim’s Sienna car, with which they obtained a loan of N40,000 from one Emeka Ejike from Nekede.

According to Nigeria Police Force Public Relations Officer, DCP Frank Mba, “The story of Pa Njoku is pathetic as his own son, his close friend, Emmanuel Sunday, who is a prospective in-law and his sister, Chinaza, connived to kidnap their father.

Their plan was that, from the proceeds, Emmanuel would organize the traditional wedding of Chinaza who is already eight months pregnant.

They also took away their victim’s Toyota Sienna car and used it to obtain a loan of N40,000 from one Emeka Ejike who has also been arrested.

However, Sunday said that the whole idea to kidnap his prospective father-in-law, Pa Njoku was the idea of his son.

“Pa Njoku’s son, who is my friend, had told me that we have to kidnap his father so that I could raise money to organise the traditional wedding of his sister who is my girl friend because she is already eight months pregnant,” he said.
