I don't think that UK follows that 6 MONTHS VALIDITY rule. I have seen someone with 3 months validity that got his visa. You can check UKVI website to verify.

Please advice. My passport expires January 2023. I am in the process of renewing but my capture date is in July which is really far. Is it advisable to continue the visa process with my current passport considering the 6 months validity condition?
I'll be ready to apply for Visa by Mid june/early july. Should i use my current passport? What do you advise please?
