CultureRe: The Various Dialects Of The Urhobo Language And Where They Are Spoken by Rene456: 10:24pm On Oct 20, 2015
Isoko is not a sub dialect of Urhobo. They are two ethnic groups with common historical links to Benin.
The Isoko language has several sub dialects of its own and many Urhobos can attest to the fact that they can't understand the Isoko language.
Despite their common history these two ethnic groups do have some cultural differences.
Saying Isoko is a sub dialect of Urhobos is as erroneous as saying Itsekiri is a sub dialect of Yoruba and Benin since they have similar syntax and semantics.
Get it straight Urhobos and Isokos; common history, different ethnic groups.
