Naira Marley come interview too with two of his guys but were sent back due to missing documents . Though after bringing the complete documents , they came back and did their interview.


Me ; Good morning (smiling)
VO: Good morning (was smiling too)
VO: Pass me your document
Me: passed my I-20 and DS160

VO : is this masters in accounting ( pointing to my I-20)
Me : yes that’s correct( while smiling and looking at him directly in the eyes )

VO: what do you do ?
Me : I’m an accountant , I work at my dads accounting firm….

VO : Cuts in ( how many staff working at the firm )
Me : about 35 , I also have my ICAN , I manage my dads fuel station and other business. I’m also involved with a charity organization and Ecowas which led to my appointment as an Ecowas Youth ambassador.

VO : cuts in , can you say that again , I didn’t get it
Me : Ecowas Youth ambassador ( he nods)

VO: Have you traveled out of Nigeria before
Me :I have never traveled out of Nigeria before because everything I want to achieve is here(Nigeria)

VO: who is sponsoring (points to the I-20 again )
Me : My dad , he’s also an accountant , a business who owns two fuel stations and also into in real Estate, the estate we live in now he’s the owner

VO : I’ll be keeping your passport(gives me my I-20 and DS160) then brought out the white paper ; take this paper , visit travel.state.gov etc .
ME : Thank you, we both smiled (vo and I) , I left .

Note : No other document asked except the I-20 and DS160

This interview was about 2 minutes


On 25th June(Friday ) ; they messaged that my passport was ready for up but I left it till Monday before I picked it up.

I didn’t do as if it was a do or die affair, i was very calm because i had the mindset of it’s not the end of the world and I also have other opportunities here , so if it works fine and if it doesn’t fine , life continues.

I have never posted here but I’ve been following this thread since January and I learned a lot from transcripts.
