Unknown gunmen, suspected to be operatives of the IPOB's Eastern Security Network (ESN) have attacked and burnt the Imo state headquarters of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), located along Port Harcourt road in Owerri. The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has explained its decision to collect Voter Identification Numbers (VINs) from Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) of Nigerians who registered several years ago but are yet to collect their PVCs. The presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Ahmed Tinubu has described the manifesto of his Labour Party counterpart, Peter Obi as an empty and vacuous document. The Labour Party Presidential Campaign Council has condemned the gruesome killing of Mrs Victoria Chintex, the party's women leader in Kaduna state, blaming the incident on Governor Nasir El-Rufai as the Chief Security Officer of the state. The presidential campaign council stated this through its spokesperson, Kenneth Okonkwo. Late Chintex was shot dead on Monday night by gunmen who reportedly broke into her residence at about 8pm. A new report by the National Agency for the Control of AIDS (NACA) has shown that umarried young women contribute 64% of HIV/AIDS transmission in Nigeria. The report explains how they contribute more HIV infections in the country than men. The All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate, Bola Ahmed Tinubu has disclosed that he has never lost any election he contested. Tinubu made this disclosure while criticizing the former Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Babachir Lawal over his recent comments. The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) has ordered its members and residents of the South East region to ignore the 5 days sit-at-home exercise called by pro Biafra activist, Simon Ekpa. IPOB said it did not issue any sit-at-home while reacting to Ekpa's earlier directive that people should boycott social and commercial activities from 9th to 14th of December.
