A married woman in Kisii town of Kenya who is said have been cheating on her husband with a man living in their neighborhood got stuck in bed after her husband visited a witch doctor and collected some concoction to arrest the development. It was reported that the woman left her home yesterday to visit her lover not knowing her husband heard her about her escapade and had gotten charms from a witch doctor residing in the area. According to K24TV, while they were having sex, they got stuck and couldn’t stand up or move away from each other, prompting them to start shouting for help.

Contrary to earlier reports that Nollywood actor, Kalu Ikeagwu was abducted by gunmen in front of his Gbagba Crescent flat in Ogba, Lagos yesterday afternoon, new details have emerged of what really transpired between the actor and the heavily armed men.

According to the latest report, the newly married actor was actually arrested by security agents following a robbery and homicide case.
Kalu, who returned home around 8:30 pm yesterday, explained to his worried neighbours that his personal assistant bought a stolen phone from Computer Village in Ikeja, and the thieves reportedly killed one of the victims of the robbery.
He told neighbours that the crime happened in Abuja, and the phone was traced to Lagos by the security agents who later came for him since his address and name were used during the purchase.

Nigeria’s First Lady Aisha Buhari on Wednesday evening arrived in Washington DC on a weeklong visit. She is billed to attend a number of events in the states.

Sources at the Nigerian Embassy in Washington DC said Mrs. Buhari arrived on a British Airways flight from London.

Her visit is of tremendous interest in Nigeria where Ekiti State governor Ayodele Fayose alleged in June that Mrs. Buhari was involved in the infamous Halliburton scandal, and is the “Aisha Buhari” mentioned in related court documents.



Our investigations show that there is no “Aisha Buhari” mentioned in the Halliburton scandal. However, there is one mentioned in the case of former United States congressman William Jefferson, who was convicted on corruption charges in 2009, and to whom “Aisha Buhari” wired the sum of $170,000. It is to that matter the governor mistakenly appears to allude.

On several occasions, Governor Fayose asserted that Mrs. Buhari could not enter the US, suggesting she would be arrested, a bluff she has now called. Investigations by SaharaReporters and the New York Times have categorically stated that the Aisha Buhari mentioned in the court document in reference is not President Buhari's wife. Nonetheless, Mrs. Buhari has sued Governor Fayose concerning his allegations.

According to an official invitation letter to her, obtained by SaharaReporters, Mrs. Buhari was expected to have arrived in the United States two days ago, but was held back by official delays in Nigeria.

Among others, she is expected during her visit to attend meetings at the George Mason University in Fairfax, Virginia. She will also be hosted by the United States Institute of Peace, in collaboration with Voice of America, and attend the 25th Anniversary celebration of Zumunta Association USA Inc.

The Minister of Transport and former governor of the state, Chibuike Amaechi has been accused by the Rivers State Government of embezzling N3tn during his reign as the governor of the state.

President Muhammadu Buhari has vowed to deal decisively with the seeming resurgence of oil theft, vandalism of pipelines and insecurity in the Niger Delta.

Declaring that the Nigerian Armed Forces had already dealt “deadly blows” on Boko Haram, Mr. Buhari said the activities of oil thieves and vandals would soon be brought to an end, according to a statement by his spokesperson, Garba Shehu, on Tuesday.
