1. The Day I Reduced Friends, Everywhere Silent
From the beginning of 2025, I reduce my friends. I notice say na only me dey always call, check up, buy things, and show concern.

The day I stop calling, everywhere quiet.

Nobody check on me again. The only time some of them go remember me na when dem need something. Once nothing to gain, I no matter. Na there I thank God say e show me who really be who.

2. Wedding Matter Expose People
I dey plan my wedding for January next year. I tell friends wey I really consider close, even people wey I wan make dem be my groomsmen.

Up till now, none of them don drop even ₦1.

Funny enough, people wey no close to me don already contribute. Even some family members and cousins dey give excuse. From here I learn say sometimes help no dey come from people wey near you, na from outsiders e dey come.

3. Overdoing Good for Compound Turn Against Me
For my compound, anytime light spoil, na me dey call electrician and pay with my own money. I no dey collect contribution.

If light no dey, I go bring my generator make people pump water, even though others get generator but dem go keep am.

I do all these willingly.

But when dem say make everybody contribute money for cleaning surroundings, I talk say I no fit contribute this time and make others also handle things.

Na from there dem change.

Dem come dey say:

“We no send you before.”

Na there I understand say if you overdo for people, dem go take am as entitlement, not kindness.

4. Office Own Still Be Same Story
For workplace, na the same thing. As long as you dey give free things and favors, you’re a good person.

Once you stop, dem go label you proud, wicked, or say you don change.

5. I Learnt Not to Force Love or Impress Anybody
Another strong lesson be say: no force anything, especially love.

Before, I dey chase women, dey beg, dey try impress. I go dey talk say I want marry you, I love you, I serious.

What happen?

Dem dey use me.

Some go collect transport money. Some go make me beg make dem come visit me. I go dey force connection wey no dey natural.

The day I stop all those nonsense, everything change.

I stop chasing. I stop begging. I stop trying to impress.

Na that same time I notice say women begin look for me. Dem dey call me, dey want see me, dey want spend weekend with me—without me begging or sending transport money.

Na there I know say life no hard reach like that.

For the past 3 weeks now I have been having some issues on my car battery. Most time I will park it in the night only to start it in the morning and found out the battery has drained but the surprise comes when I jump-start it with another battery and it works then drive it and stay in office for almost 11hrs, whenever I start the car it will work perfectly, the only time it drains is overnight.
