iamchux:YOU will need marriage certificate which they really respect court cert well enough in my OPINION |
bdiji:when you finally see your case is issued and printed, check the other site you made use of for tracking your documents. if it shows out for delivery, that means you will go to their office for pickup, they dont send it out to you. you have to go and pick it up yourself. I hope this help bro |
I have been part of those people who is in the process of a spousal Visa which is the cr1 or ir1 as we call it this is how my own story goes I got married April 21th 2021 and my wife filled for me 1st June 2021 and we submitted the documents waiting for a review from the NVC we got a reply from them on the 16th of February 2022 that's they are missing documents which is one of the documents I submitted in particular my birth certificate was not the national population Commission birth certificates that I submitted at first so we resubmitted everything again back to them under a week or so. Then we waited again and on the 03rd of August 2022 we had from them that our documents is documentary qualified and we are expecting them to send our case to Lagos for interview. this is where the wait all started again we waited till 17 July 2023 that my appointment was scheduled to be held 25th September 2023. This gave me a room to do my medicals and to get every other document ready for the interview. Now on that very day of my interview they ask me lots of question to pictures and the lady ended up telling me that my wife did not meet up to the financial status that they require of her so I will need a cosponsor then I asked her that's I really don't know what's the cool sponsorship is all about but she told me that I should know where my wife and my lawyer are going to know about it so before leaving the place I asked her if my interview went well other than that hope every other thing is okay she said yes the only thing they want me to do is to get a co-sponsor and resend it to the Embassy again in Lagos but every other thing is okay. Now I was mentally down because it has been a long journey for me and all the time the effort and the waiting has been something that I have been waiting for to tackle but now it has all fall down the roadside. To cut the story short we resubmitted the co-sponsorship which is not easy to get but we did get someone who helped us out we resubmitted and we waited this time around we went to their site and we keep monitoring the documents and the procedure of how it is and God so kind on 29th of November 2023 my Visa was approved with a 10 years stay IR1 visa and printed. I received it and left Nigeria on 18th December 2023 and as I speak to you all now, today mark a month and a day for me in the state. I will keep in touch with all here for any info I can give you guys. to add it all up,I and my wife have a very hug age gap,but the thing is that they will question you a lot about it but basically want to know if you truly know this person you are married to so well. if you have any questions you can send me a msg on WhatsApp on +234 902 038 3732 I will be glad to help. I wish you guys all the best ✌️ |
bdiji:. they automatically send your examination to the embassy so no worries. the one they gave you is yours to take to the state, that's like a starting point for your doctor when you get there. |
Madeofgabe:this you shouldn't worry about,as you can get NPC with the name you want, since your passport is the same as Emma, you don't have no issues. just go there and tell them you want to get a birth certificate and tell them the name you want to use. no tell dem say you being do mistake if not your pocket go tell you 🧏 |
Mandem101:its never your fault to answer anyone as we all here are trying to find a way out that's the main reason to be here. but anyway it is what it is |
aestake:well explained 👏🏼 this is how one will be more enlightened. not one saying you should read and comprehend. that sound so disrespectful to me honestly |
aestake:probably don't think so, as the other guy said, I should read and comprehend before engaging in conversation, so I guess I didn't read his statement where he said CR/IR,I thought he mean CR1/IR1 so I guess he might be right if the K1 is done that way and not the way CR1 is done. but he need to let me know tho since he knows more of what he is saying than ranting as if am his school student 😂😂😂 |
Mandem101:OK thanks. |
Mandem101:OK thanks |
Mandem101:IR1/CR1 is basically given a date of interview automatically by the embassy |
InvestorTeeMan:thanks |
Hi guys I am following this thread very much and I get to understand that it is all about K1 visa but mine is CR1 one and it is much similar to what is going on in this process. I really have a question I don't know if anyone is in my shoes as I went for my interview last month Sept 25 and I was given a letter 221(g) additional documents (cosponsor and divorce degree (I was having the divorce degree with me on the day of my interview anyway but they didn't ask of it even when I told the VO that I was with it,she said she only want to have a conversation with me not paper work) which I submitted back to them, now my question is,has anyone been in same shoes and later got the visa and how long did it take for that. as am really confuse at this point if anyone is in my shoes and have scale through, pls DM on WhatsApp +234 902 038 3732 |
