Some residents of Oworonshoki community in Lagos State, took to Facebook to make claims of a bird turning into an old woman today September 21.

Sharing videos and photos to back claims of the incident which reportedly occurred at No. 39 Miyaki Street in Oworonshoki, the Facebook users said the old woman confessed to coming to the Lagos community to attack a pregnant woman.

The Edo state police command has arrested a 44-year old man identified as Edoghogho Omorogbe, for killing his mother in law, sister- in- law and a six- month old baby.

The killing occurred on September 10 at their residence at Iguadolor Community in Ovia North East local government area of Edo State, and the mutilated bodies of the deceased identified as Mrs. Alice Omorogbe 52, Mrs. Blessing Efe 25 and her baby were discovered the following day.

Chris Ngige, the Minister of Labour and Employment, has said members of the Indigenous People of Biafra IPOB cannot attack him outside Nigeria.

President Donald Trump says it’s “looking like” Iran was responsible for the attacks on key oil installations in Saudi Arabia, but he says he doesn’t want war.

Trump said Monday at the White House that the U.S. is not looking at retaliatory options until he has “definitive proof” that Iran was responsible.

Still, Trump told reporters in the Oval Office that the U.S. “is prepared” if the attacks warrant a response.

Secretary of State Mike Pompeo also says “emerging information indicates that responsibility lies with Iran.”

Iran has denied involvement, though it comes amid heightened tensions over Tehran’s unraveling nuclear deal with world powers, including the U.S., which pulled out of the deal last year.

Popular Nigerian comedians, Okey Bakassi, and Bishop Umeh, popularly known as Okon Lagos, on Sunday threw shades at Big Brother Naija, BBNaija housemates remaining in the reality show.

Bakassi in a post on Instagram lamented the eviction of ‘smart and intelligent’ housemates in the reality show.

The comedian criticized the choice of Nigerians in voting for housemates, adding that their decisions showed how Nigerians select their leaders.

According to him, the smart ones are being voted out while the ‘Stupid housemates’ are saved from eviction.

Bakassi said: “The Big Brother eviction show is a reflection of the society, shows that smart, intelligent, stupid, docile human beings can coexist.

“It tells you about politics and how people vote in Nigeria. Most times you think the smart ones, intelligent ones will be the ones to win but they get to leave the reality show while the stupid ones have a way of hanging around for too long even when you don’t like them; that is the reality.

“So at the end of the show, if the stupid one wins, it is you the voters that should be blamed. It tells us about ourselves, our preferences as Nigerians.”

He, however, did not mention the names of the housemates he was referring to.

This is coming few hours after BBNaija housemate, Khafi was evicted.

Okon on the other hand also lamented the choices by Nigerians in the ongoing reality show.

According to him, Nigerian youths from their votes on BBNaija shows that they do not like smart individuals.

Some angry Nigerians on Tuesday invaded an outlet of Shoprite along Lekki-Epe expressway in Lagos State, the youths, who were reacting to the renewed xenophobic attacks.

On Nigerians residing in South Africa were chanting violent songs during the attack.

Men of the Nigeria Police Force, however, prevented the youths from breaking into the mall of South Africa-owned Shoprite.

The President of the Nigeria Union South Africa (NUSA), Adetola Olubajo who confirmed the development to NAN said the attacks began on Sunday morning in Jeppestown area of Johannesburg when a building was set ablaze by an angry mob.

“The mob also looted several shops that were around the vicinity suspected to be owned by foreign nationals. But the Police later dispersed the mob and made some arrest.



“Late in the evening of Sunday, Sept. 1, a group of violent locals suspected to be Zulu hostel dwellers besieged Jules Street in Malvern, Johannesburg looted and burned shops/businesses,’’ he said in a statement made available to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Lagos.

Last night, thousands of fans and well wishers gathered in Ivory Coast's capital Abidjan to pay tribute to musician DJ Arafat the 33 year old Ivorian, whose real name was Ange Didier Huon, died in a motorcycle accident earlier this month.
