I have found out that the 'S' stands for sports shift - a mode that allows A/T to work faster and of course consumes more fuel. What I do not know is how this 'S' is meant to show when you toggle between sports and normal mode while driving.

I have a 1990 Honda Halla and last week the S symbol on the right side in the dash board started blinking with green light when I drive the car. What could be making it blink green? My mechanic doesn't seem to know the cause. Guys I need your advise - cause and solutions - as this is the only family car we've got.
